About the Role:</b></p><p>
King County Parks is offering 24 paid student internship opportunities for high school students interested in learning about public lands, environmental justice, and environmental career pathways. Interns participate in ecosystem restorations projects, workshops on various environmental topics, and creative independent projects. This is a six-week program that runs from Tuesday, July 7 &ndash; Thursday, August 13, 2026. Interns work 22 hours per week. This position follows a hybrid work model, blending remote and in-person work.</p><p><b>
About the Team:</b></p><p>
The King County Parks Youth Conservation Corps connects young people with environmental stewardship, career exploration, and community service through paid summer internships in local parks. Youth work alongside parks staff and community partners on ecological restoration and public land projects while developing leadership and job skills. Though restoration projects in Parks are a focus of the program, more than half of the internship experience involves workshops on different environmental topics and independent project work. Mondays and Tuesdays are dedicated to workshops and field trips on topics such as rural and urban farming, environmental career exploration, environmental art, environmental justice, and much more!</li><li>
Wednesdays are spent in a local King County Park working on ecosystem restoration projects.</li><li>

King County Metro Transit's Rail Division manages and maintains Sound Transit's Link light rail service and City of Seattle's streetcar system. The primary function of the Mechanical Engineering Intern role will learn how WTD engineers put together guidelines and standards, verify equipment installation and grow in understanding of the wastewater treatment process. This team sits within the Engineering Unit, which provides engineering support to capital projects.</div><div></div><div><br>
The Mechanical Engineering Interns in this position typically work on multiple projects throughout the summer, the specifics of which are determined closer to the start of employment. WTD protects public health and enhances the environment by collecting and treating wastewater while recycling valuable resources for the Puget Sound region. At summer&rsquo;s ends, interns present their projects to an audience of staff and hiring managers. Interns get exposure to careers and opportunities they might not have imagined before. The Health Information, Release and Records Management unit oversees health information policy and practice, release of medical records, public records and litigation support, records management, and departmental policy facilitation and administration. There are seven-unit members, working in the various lines of business across the unit, and reporting to the Health Information Manager. Release of medical records includes a hybrid environment of legacy paper medical charts, and electronic health records.<br>

This position manages and processes responses to all requests for routine release of health information (ROI) that come through the Health Information, Release and Records Management Team, ensuring adherence to all state and federal regulations and department policy related to the use and release of client health information. This position provides administrative support to the Health Information, Release and Records Management Team which includes: Release of Information, Health Information Management, Policies, and Public Disclosure.</p><p><br>
Temporary opportunity. Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) positions are &quot;at-will&quot; positions but are eligible for benefits. This TLT is currently anticipated to last <b>6 months</b>. Work Schedule</b></p><p>

Maintains and updates information in the Master Patient Index system for paper charts (Infolinx). Conducts audits for clinical paper charts at various sites, as assigned by the HIMs manager.</li><li>
Ensures accurate and timely entry of all health records requests into the release of information logging system, verify that releases are valid and meet mandated timelines for release of health care information.</li><li>
Informs Release of Information (ROI) Manager of unusual circumstances as appropriate to determine action and follow up.</li><li>
Serves as technical resource to Public Health managers, supervisors, and employees about release of health records.</li><li>
Responds to and resolve requestor questions or complaints regarding release of health records.</li><li>
Responsible for processing duplicate resolution within Epic, following established Patient Identity Procedure Manual and other applicable Public Health procedures.</li><li>
