The role</b></p><p>
During your placement you will train and become an engineer on one of our many development teams building websites, mobile and colleague applications for our business.</p><p>
No prior software development experience is required, as we will provide all training required to be successful. A desire to learn, collaborate and to discover how to create efficient and well-designed engineering solutions is all that is required. To accept the role, you will need to meet the entry requirements for and accept a place on the Level 6 programme with the Open University.</p><div>
The role will require you to attend our Southampton Office regularly, with the option to work remotely on other days. Occasional (expensed and supported) travel may be required to other office locations. Initially this will be a 12-month fixed term contract which will be extended to cover the remainder of the degree programme term based on job and academic performance.</div>
What's the job?:
<ul><li>Undertake training in software engineering in order to design and implement user stories in accordance with Kingfisher standards. This could be on any of our teams, but we try to take your preferences into account.</li><li>
Become Proficient with industry standard development tools including AI assisted development.</li><li>
Work in an Agile development team, pairing with other software engineers and other non-technical team members to implement and test user stories.</li><li>
Engage and shadow more experienced engineers and non-technical team members to learn professional skills and best practices.</li></ul>
What you'll bring:
<ul><li>Level 2 English Language &amp; Maths</li><li>
Numerate A-Level (or other Level 3) qualifications that meet the course entry requirements.</li><li>
A strong desire to learn and grow, with a proactive attitude to developing new skills
</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment</li><li>
Curious and analytical mindset with an interest in problem solving
</li><li>Good communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions and share ideas
</li><li>Organised, with the ability to manage time across work and study commitments</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Join Kingfisher as our Digital Analytics Manager and help shape data-driven digital experiences that support our purpose: Better Homes, Better Lives, For everyone. What's the job?:
<ul><li>Lead and develop a diverse team of digital data experts, supporting their growth and delivering high-quality analytics</li><li>
Build and enhance self-serve analytics capability, enabling stakeholders to access and use data effectively</li><li>
Develop and evolve the digital data roadmap, ensuring it drives business objectives and continuous improvement</li><li>
Empower the team to deliver insights that drive data-led optimisation and measurable improvements across Group and Banner functions</li><li>
Collaborate with Data Science, AI, Engineering, and Measurement teams to deliver analytics and reporting for key initiatives</li><li>
Champion best practices in digital data, embedding analytics and systematic experimentation into our ways of working</li><li>
Work closely with stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities, fostering a culture of curiosity, agility, and collaboration</li></ul>
What you'll bring:
<ul><li>Experience leading a mixed-level team, supporting their analytical, commercial and professional development</li><li>
Significant expertise in digital analytics for eCommerce and digital products</li><li>
Proficient in Google Analytics and has experience reporting packages (Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau), databases (SQL) and Web Tagging (Google Tab Manager)</li><li>
Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with relevant packages (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)</li><li>
Clear communicator with a track record of delivering compelling, action-oriented insights to senior stakeholders</li><li>
Ability to manage and prioritise team demand, with the confidence to positively challenge and influence stakeholders where required</li></ul><div><b>
