Territory Manager Position Purpose

Responsible for taking all actions necessary to secure and maintain a market share in an assigned sales territory through proper planning, adequate territorial coverage, and effective sales presentations, through administrative and other assigned duties.

Territory Manager Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal</li>
<li>Obtains and maintains an elevated level of understanding of marketing and finance programs and prepares quotations outlining features, benefits, and any available financing programs</li>
<li>Achieves and maintains excellent product knowledge through sales schools and self-study</li>
<li>Develops and continues to improve interpersonal and sales skills through schools and self-study</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains personal relationships with customers, determines customer needs and the best way to satisfy those needs</li>
<li>Studies and maintains knowledge of competition&rsquo;s machines, finance, and marketing programs</li>
<li>Acts as Liaison between Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc and customers in all aspects of customer relations</li>
<li>Follows up to ensure that all aspects of sales and rental transactions are correct and completed on time</li>
<li>Completes all required paperwork correctly and on time</li>
<li>Ensures that all contracts and transactions are conducted in an ethical and professional manner</li>
<li>Identifies, profiles, and prospects the territory; develops and enlarges the customer base in the territory</li>
<li>Maintains communications and advises management of all changes in the territory</li>
<li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Territory Manager Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>High School Education or Equivalent with post-secondary education preferred</li>
<li>Three (3) years of construction equipment sales experience</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and adapts quickly to changing priorities and customer needs</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record</li>
</ul>
Territory Manager Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance</li>
<li>Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead</li>
<li>Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors</li>
<li>Physical ability to perform work for extended hours</li>
<li>Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE</li>
</ul>
