An established law firm serving California&rsquo;s Central Coast is seeking a Legal Secretary to support attorneys in the area of Estate Planning &amp; Administration. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering practical, high-quality support to both attorneys and clients. Compensation ranges from $20 to $27 per hour, depending on experience, plus a competitive bonus program and comprehensive benefits.Responsibilities<ul><li>Legal Support: Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing forms, and organizing case and matter files across business, estate planning, and litigation matters.</li><li>Case and File Management: Manage caseloads efficiently under attorney supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and documents are accurately maintained.</li><li>Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, gathering necessary information, answering procedural questions, and maintaining professional, empathetic communication.</li><li>Document Preparation: Prepare, format, and proofread a wide variety of documents, including: trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and probate filings.</li><li>Administrative Support: Coordinate meetings, maintain task lists, and assist with matter tracking and billing entries.</li><li>Collaboration and Team Support: Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure timely completion of work, knowledge sharing, and support across departments.</li></ul>Preferred Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Essential Forms, and legal timekeeping or practice management software.</li><li>Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.</li><li>Organizational Strength: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Detail-Oriented Mindset: High level of accuracy in preparing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.</li><li>Client-Focused Approach: Committed to delivering responsive, courteous service to clients and maintaining confidentiality at all times.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
