<div>The Role 
KITSCH is seeking a Photo Retoucher who brings technical precision, speed, and a high personal standard to a high-volume product photography pipeline. This is not a role for someone who delivers files that are simply done &mdash; it is for someone who delivers files they are proud of. You will be responsible for retouching product images to brand standard every week, minimizing revision rounds through disciplined self-review, and contributing to a smooth, predictable post-production operation. If you have a sharp eye, a consistent output, and you thrive in a structured, accountable environment, we want to hear from you. 
 
Job Responsibilities 
Image Output &amp; Delivery<ul><li>
Retouch and deliver a minimum of 20 on-brand product images per week meeting all department standards.</li><li>
Complete initial retouching within 4 business days of asset delivery &mdash; flag blockers immediately, do not wait.</li><li>
Ensure every delivered file meets the correct background color, shadow application, and standardized collection coloring without exception.</li></ul>
Quality &amp; Revision Efficiency<ul><li>
Self-review every file before submission &mdash; approach your own work the way a reviewer would.</li><li>
Target 90% or more of images approved within 2 rounds of revision; treat anything beyond 2 rounds as a signal to identify and fix the root cause.</li><li>
Maintain a 98% or higher file accuracy rate on periodic audits across background, shadow, and coloring standards.</li></ul>
AI Tool Integration<ul><li>
Test and integrate at least 2 AI-supported retouching tools &mdash; such as background removal, color matching, or batch actions &mdash; into your workflow by end of Q2.</li><li>
The goal is measurable efficiency, not exploration: tools should be actively used, not just tested.</li></ul>
Communication &amp; Pipeline Discipline<ul><li>
Post your workload status in the designated Slack channel within 40 minutes of starting your shift, every day without exception.</li><li>
Flag any blocker or anticipated delay within 1 business day of identifying it &mdash; proactive communication protects the whole team.</li><li>
Any changes to your standard hours of 8am&ndash;4pm PST require pre-approval &mdash; flag in advance, not after the fact.</li></ul>
File &amp; Pipeline Hygiene<ul><li>
Organize folders and file handoffs correctly &mdash; keep the pipeline clean without being asked.</li><li>
Contribute to a smooth post-production workflow by maintaining clear, consistent file naming and delivery practices.</li></ul> 

Core Competencies and Qualifications<ul><li>
2+ years of experience in photo retouching with a focus on product or e-commerce photography.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to maintain high output volume &mdash; 20+ images per week &mdash; without sacrificing accuracy or brand consistency.</li><li>
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; familiarity with Lightroom or comparable tools a plus.</li><li>
Strong understanding of background removal, shadow application, color correction, and standardized collection coloring techniques.</li><li>
Disciplined self-reviewer &mdash; consistently catches errors before they reach the review stage.</li><li>
Experience with or demonstrated willingness to adopt AI-assisted retouching tools (background removal, batch color matching, etc.).</li><li>
Clear, proactive communicator &mdash; flags issues before deadlines, not after.</li><li>
Reliable and structured &mdash; works independently within defined hours and delivers consistently without supervision.</li><li>
Portfolio demonstrating clean, on-brand product retouching required.</li></ul>
