Up to 12 hours of OT are applicable. Typically, OT will vary between 1-10 hours per week</li><li>Monday to Friday, 2nd shift 3:00 pm-11:30 pm. Some weekends. Up to 12 hours of OT are applicable. Typically, OT will vary between 1-10 hours per week</li></ul>Reports To: Shop SupervisorExempt: NoOvertime: occasional<ul><li>General Purpose of Job: The Tractor Mechanic performs inspections and repairs on trucks including PM&rsquo;s, BIT&rsquo;s, airleak, oil leak, wheel seal repairs</li></ul>Essential Functions: <ul><li>Follows a checklist of inspection procedures.</li><li>Reads and interprets diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as an TECH tool.</li><li>Raises trucks and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.</li><li>Inspects brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles</li><li>Does routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.</li><li>Adjusts and aligns wheels, tightens bolts and screws, and attaches system components.</li><li>Repairs or replaces malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.</li><li>Lifts and inspects brakes.</li><li>Basic computer skills needed to complete tasks.</li></ul>Marginal Functions: Education/Experience/License/Certifications:<ul><li>3 year experience (preferred) as a Diesel Mechanic</li><li>Must possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license, CDL preferred</li><li>Ability to lift up to 100 pounds</li><li>Excellent reading and writing skills</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and drug test</li><li>ASE Diesel Certification an asset</li></ul>More about the ESOP Retirement Benefit: The company is 100% owned by the employees.
