The Maintenance Electrician supports continuous production operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and control systems on manufacturing equipment. This role is critical to minimizing unplanned downtime, maintaining production throughput, and ensuring a safe working environment on the plant floor.</div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h1><div><ul><li>
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on production lines, conveyors, robotics, CNC equipment, and packaging machinery</li><li>
Maintain and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial control panels (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)</li><li>
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) on electrical systems per CMMS schedules</li><li>
Respond to breakdown calls quickly to reduce line downtime; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions</li><li>
Install and wire new production equipment during line changeovers, expansions, or capital projects</li><li>
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&amp;IDs, and OEM manuals</li><li>
Calibrate and troubleshoot sensors, encoders, and instrumentation used in automated processes</li><li>
Support plant utilities: transformers and distribution panels</li><li>
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E (arc flash safety), lockout/tagout (LOTO), and OSHA regulations</li><li>
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts inventory in CMMS</li><li>
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other maintenance trades (mechanical, millwright) to coordinate repairs and minimize disruption to output</li><li>
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., TPM, Lean/Six Sigma) to improve equipment reliability</li><li>
Provide on-call/emergency support for off-shift breakdowns as needed</li></ul></div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required Qualifications</b></h1><div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in industrial electrical systems preferred</li><li>
Master Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical certification</li><li>
5+ years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment</li><li>
Strong knowledge of three-phase power, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial control circuits</li><li>
Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000, Siemens, or similar)</li><li>
Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and P&amp;IDs</li><li>
Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA industrial safety standards</li><li>
Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix) for work order tracking</li></ul></div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Physical Requirements</b></h1><div><ul><li>
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, near energized equipment, and in varying plant temperatures/noise levels</li><li>
Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders/platforms, and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods</li><li>
Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency call-ins</li></ul></div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Skills</b></h1><div><ul><li>
Experience with robotics (FANUC, ABB, KUKA) or high-speed automated packaging lines</li><li>
Hydraulics/pneumatics troubleshooting experience</li><li>

Maintenance Electrician

The Assistant Facility Engineer will assist and fill in during the absence of the Plant Engineer with the responsibilities of the Maintenance Department. The Assistant Facility Engineer will operate the Maintenance Department with the company goals of safe, quality food top of the mind while achieving the financial goals of Klosterman Baking Company. The Assistant Facility Engineer will maintain the building, grounds and all associated equipment to comply with all laws, policies and standards governing food safety.</p><p>
Responsibilities:</p><p>
Help manage the engineering needs of the bakery and the hourly engineering staff. Supervision of maintenance and installation of all plant equipment and facilities.</p><p></p><p><br>
 Principal roles and responsibilities</p><ul><li> Assure equipment reliability to maximize production lines productivity</li><li> Supervise, coach, train, lead and motivate mechanics to meet planned objectives and respond effectively to emergencies</li><li> Build staff capability by effectively monitoring and providing performance feedback to direct reports</li><li> Communicate status of shift to following shift and others who require the information</li><li> Identify equipment and facility deficiencies and ensure the initiation of corrective action</li><li> Assess mechanics technical and troubleshooting skills</li><li> Provide training and counseling as needed to assist mechanics in meeting performance standards</li><li> Partner with plant peers to ensure the plants equipment meet regulatory requirements for cleanliness and product safety</li><li> Maintain P&amp;L responsibility over maintenance cost centers, repair and maintenance, maintenance labor, utilities and capital improvement plans</li><li> Oversee preventative maintenance compliance and effectiveness</li><li> Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of short- and long-term goals and action plans</li><li> Assist in making operational improvements to reduce costs and to increase productivity</li><li> Develop and maintain part inventory</li><li> Interfaces with vendors, manufacturers and field service personnel</li><li> Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes to maximize efficiency</li><li> Provide day-to-day operational leadership to mechanics and all associated personnel</li><li> Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork, quality, and safety</li><li> Develop, evaluate, train, and mentor employees</li><li> Ensure the adherence of safety policies, practices, and procedures</li><li> Ensure production of quality product in compliance of federal and state guidelines.
