RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Assist the staff with the media and public affairs portfolios for the United States Attorney&rsquo;s Office (USAO)</li><li>
Coordinate external communications and draft and edit press releases</li><li>
Collect and analyze information requests from the news media and the public, and prepare response recommendations</li><li>
Translate complex legal and technical information into everyday language for a wide variety of audiences</li><li>
Prepare written communications/docs to inform and educate stakeholders on USAO programs, activities, and services</li><li>
Support the coordination of community and other District programs and projects</li><li>
Draft and edit pamphlets, handouts, and other technical writing materials</li><li>
Analyze and recommend innovative communication solutions, including managing authorized social media accounts</li><li>
Provide expertise on emerging trends and technology in the writing industry</li></ul> 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Be able to work with internet software programs for uploading information</li><li>
Have a working knowledge and understanding of the media process and deadlines</li><li>

Four-year undergraduate degree required</li><li>
