POSITION SUMMARYThe Sr. Director of Organizational Effectiveness &amp; Management is a senior leader who drives alignment between and among strategy, systems, and people to achieve sustainable, equitable impact. This role is both strategic and operational&mdash;leading internal planning, infrastructure, and people/culture while ensuring the organization operates with excellence, accountability, and care. Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesStrategic &amp; Organizational Leadership<ul><li>Champion cross-functional engagement, strengthening culture, camaraderie, and collaboration across teams.</li><li>Lead organizational planning and performance management processes that align vision, goals, and resources.</li><li>Translate strategic priorities into clear operational and program goals and support teams in developing project plans and measurable outcomes.</li><li>Serve as a key thought partner and operational leader to the President and Board of Directors.</li><li>Supervise and coach all Program and Operations Managers, supporting community impact, professional growth, and cross-team functioning.</li></ul>Operations &amp; Infrastructure<ul><li>Oversee and ensure effectiveness of core administrative functions, including HR, IT, facilities, and compliance.</li><li>Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, accountability, and team coordination and collaboration.</li><li>Manage contracts, vendor relationships, and enterprise systems/platforms.</li><li>Lead organization-wide planning processes to ensure resources and work plans are aligned with strategic priorities.</li></ul>People &amp; Culture<ul><li>Lead talent strategy, including equitable recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance systems.</li><li>Standardize job responsibilities, titles, and salary ranges to ensure internal consistency and equity.</li><li>Foster a values-aligned, inclusive, and learning-centered workplace that supports staff wellbeing and accountability.</li><li>Supervise HR functions and strengthen policies that promote employee engagement and organizational health.</li></ul>Organizational Learning &amp; Improvement<ul><li>Build and steward systems for knowledge management, learning, funder reporting and evaluation.</li><li>Embed feedback loops, reflection practices, and responsive planning into organizational routines.</li><li>Drive cross-departmental coordination to ensure smooth implementation of initiatives.</li></ul>Finance, Budgeting &amp; Risk<ul><li>Support budgeting, financial planning, and reporting in partnership with the President and Finance consultant.</li><li>Establish and enforce policies and procedures that safeguard the organization&rsquo;s assets and ensure compliance.</li><li>Anticipate and mitigate organizational risks; uphold legal and regulatory standards.</li></ul>Additional Leadership<ul><li>Lead and manage special projects as assigned.</li><li>Partner with Finance and the President to ensure the financial stability of programming and operations.</li><li>Assume other leadership duties as needed to advance organizational goals.</li></ul>IV. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <ul><li>Minimum 7 years of experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizational leadership with progressive responsibility, including 5+ years in a supervisory/management role.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, HR or a related degree.</li><li>Deep experience in operations, planning, finance, and people management.</li><li>Strong systems thinker with a track record of strategic execution and culture building.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to racial, gender, and economic justice.</li><li>Knowledge or experience working in the American Indian Community.</li><li>Ability to develop comprehensive work plans across organization.</li><li>Excellent writing and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively as part of a leadership team.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Criminal background check is required for this position.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Salary Range: $85,000 &ndash; $100,000 &ndash; depending on experience</li><li>Generous PTO and Holidays</li><li>Excellent benefits including; health and dental, LTD, STD and Life insurance, 401 k contribution</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
