Purpose of JobThe purpose of this position is to provide expert knowledge and support the ERP business applications.Essential Functions&middot; Supports application software for all Departments, including Finance, Human Resources and Procurement.&middot; Troubleshoot and resolve complex application access, performance, and system setup problems&middot; Work with vendor technical support staff as necessary&middot; Works with users in resolving user/application issues, or to enhance user services.Performs application administration, including user security and program configuration setups and maintenance.&middot; Develop operational and maintenance processes, schedules, and documentation for applications&middot; Create and support required reports, extracts, and interfaces in response to business user needs&middot; Documents issues and resolutions and creates knowledge base articles as needed.&middot; Executes application installations, configurations, upgrades, patches and required infrastructure (operation system environment, program and user security, network capacity and throughput, database backups) for applications and associated processes.&middot; Develop testing plans and perform testing on application&middot; Trains users in software application packages, both commercial and specially designed.&middot; Oversees and participates in pre-user testing of applications.&middot; Provide infrastructure support for application testing&middot; Participate in internal and external auditing reviews&middot; Participate in disaster recovery planning; administer database backup and recovery processes&middot; Respond to and report immediately if called upon by local regional or central office supervisors as part of a coordinated emergency response by the Knox County Mayor&rsquo;s Office&middot; Ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours&middot; Perform other IT Department duties as requiredMinimum Training &amp; Qualifications&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field and minimum of five (5) years&rsquo; related experience.&middot; Equivalent experience may be substituted for the education requirement.This position may require you to obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification throughout your employment with Knox County IT.
