 QC Welding Inspector
 
 for various job sites within the U.S. This role will provide field QC support for our
 
 turnaround projects

 What You Will Do
 
 
 
 
 Some core responsibilities for a QC Welding Inspector include :
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform quality control functions with high regard to integrity on KSPS projects, including the development and execution of field inspection plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop skills, gain experience to be a site QC lead, which may include being a QC lead on a project
 </li>
 <li>
 Support development, maintain and keep digital record of quality packages for submittal to the client and KSPS corporate quality personnel
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep corporate and site quality personnel up to date on any quality issues, small or large
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a daily log / rollover log to keep quality informed of activities taking place on site
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with quality personnel on site, as needed, in an effective matter with respect and humility
 </li>
 <li>
 Material receiving and inspection and approval
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversight of third party NDE and heat treatment including review of documentation for accuracy of work
 </li>
 <li>
 Review of welder qualifications before execution of work
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitoring and inspection of field welds and flange make-ups for conformance with codes and maintaining weld and flange logs
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform in person field review of work being performed by KSPS personnel as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Interaction with KSPS engineering, client, and third-party authorized inspectors
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Physical Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must be able to work long hours and all shift schedules that may require up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week for extended durations
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to work in confined spaces and be capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds and working at heights
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respiratory Protection Fit Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing is required. Additional medical examinations, such as Fitness for Duty exams may be required per client guidelines. Hearing and vision within normal ranges also may be required per client requirements.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience in the Oil &amp; Gas industry
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to read and interpret drawings (ISO, P&amp;ID, Installation / Fabrication)
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with ASME, API and NBIC codes
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with MS Office software
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Non-destructive examination and welding methods
 </li>
 <li>
 Certified Welding Inspector certificate or API 510 Certification
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 What Will Put You Ahead
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High School diploma or equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with pressure vessel modifications
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with flange inspection and assembly
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with pipe fabrication and installation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with fired equipment (Flares, heaters, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Good verbal and written communication skills
