Job Description:</b></p><p>
The VP of FP&amp;A leads the enterprise financial planning, analysis, and business partnering function across all business units of a large, diversified construction and materials company. This executive translates complex financial data into board- and executive-level insights that drive both strategic direction and day-to-day operational decisions. The VP designs and deploys the FP&amp;A operating model and supporting technology &mdash; enabling real-time financial visibility and self-service analytics across the organization.</p><p></p><p><b><i>

Enterprise Planning, Budgeting &amp; Forecasting</b></h3><ul><li>
Lead variance analysis against budget, prior year, and forecast; synthesize findings into executive-ready narratives collaborating closely with the accounting group throughout.</li><li>
Own and lead the company's annual budgeting process, multi-year strategic planning cycle, and quarterly forecast cadence across all business units.</li><li>
Design and continuously improve the planning process &mdash; reducing cycle time, improving data integrity, and increasing engagement from operational leaders.</li><li>
Develop integrated financial models linking P&amp;L, balance sheet, and cash flow across construction and materials divisions.</li><li>
Establish forecast governance frameworks and defining key assumptions used.</li><li>
Partner with division presidents and operational leaders to ensure financial plans are grounded in business reality and aligned to enterprise strategy.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Executive Analytics &amp; Reporting</b></h3><ul><li>
Support in the design and production of the company's executive and board-level financial reporting suite, including monthly management reports and KPI dashboards.</li><li>
Translate financial results and forward-looking projections into clear, decision-oriented insights for the CFO, Presidents, CEOs and Board of Directors.</li><li>
Lead enterprise-wide scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic investments, M&amp;A evaluation, and capital allocation.</li><li>
Establish enterprise financial metrics, definitions, and reporting standards to ensure consistency across all divisions and reporting audiences.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Business Partnering Strategy &amp; Execution</b></h3><ul><li>
Architect and implement a Finance Business Partner operating model that positions finance professionals as trusted strategic advisors to division leaders.</li><li>
Define the role, cadence, and deliverables of Finance Business Partners across the construction and materials divisions; build the tools and frameworks they need to operate effectively.</li><li>
Ensure Finance Business Partners provide proactive financial challenge, insight, and decision support &mdash; going beyond reporting to drive business performance.</li><li>
Build strong working relationships with divisional Presidents, VPs, and operational leaders, establishing finance as a valued partner in business planning and performance management.</li><li>
Represent the FP&amp;A function in cross-functional leadership forums, strategic planning sessions, and executive business reviews.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
FP&amp;A Systems &amp; Process Transformation</b></h3><ul><li>
Lead the FP&amp;A workstream including platform selection, implementation, and enterprise adoption.</li><li>
Partner with internal stakeholders and external resources to deliver integrated financial planning and reporting technology solutions.</li><li>
Champion self-service analytics capabilities &mdash; enabling operational leaders to access real-time financial insights without dependency on central finance resources.</li><li>
Standardize, document, and continuously improve FP&amp;A processes, workflows, and data governance practices.</li><li>
Ensure the finance technology ecosystem supports the speed, flexibility, and analytical depth required by a complex, multi-entity business.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Team Leadership &amp; Development</b></h3><ul><li>
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&amp;A team.</li><li>
Define team structure, roles, and operating cadences that enable effective delivery across enterprise planning, reporting, and business partnering workstreams.</li><li>
Build a talent development culture: establish clear development paths, coaching relationships, and skill-building opportunities aligned to the Finance transformation agenda.</li><li>
Attract and recruit top finance talent; actively manage team performance, succession planning, and organizational design.</li><li>
Foster a team culture of analytical curiosity, intellectual rigor, and collaborative partnership with the business unit leaders.</li></ul><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education</b></h3><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline &mdash; required.</li><li>
MBA with a Financial related concentration &mdash; preferred.</li><li>
CPA or CFA designation &mdash; a plus.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Experience</b></h3><ul><li>
10+ years of progressive experience in FP&amp;A, corporate finance, or related financial leadership roles.</li><li>
5+ years in a VP, Director, or equivalent senior leadership role with direct team management responsibility.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting in a complex, multi-entity environment.</li><li>
Industry experience in construction, materials, manufacturing, or similarly capital-intensive, project-driven businesses &mdash; preferred.</li><li>
Proven experience partnering directly with CFOs, CEOs, and Boards of Directors on financial strategy and reporting.</li><li>
Experience leading or playing a senior role in FP+A software system implementation &mdash; a plus.</li><li>

Job Description:</b></p><p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Inspecting, cleaning, and performing repairs on mechanical equipment related to the Asphalt Plant.</li><li>
Knowledge of operating track excavators, back hoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other pieces of equipment a strong plus.</li></ul><p><b><br>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Knowledge of asphalt plant.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other responsibilities for job completion as requested.</li><li>
Must be willing to work day or night shift, including weekends.</li><li>

Must be able to understand directions/instructions on methods/process to do work.</li><li>
