About the Role:
We are looking for a technically-minded Senior Product Marketing Manager to help Kong own the AI connectivity category. You will work with the Director of Product Marketing to craft the narrative around Kong&rsquo;s AI connectivity platform - focusing on Kong&rsquo;s market leading API Gateway and Event Gateway - to translate complex application infrastructure concepts into compelling stories for technical and business buyers alike. You will serve as a strategic partner to Product, Field, Partnerships, and Solutions Engineering teams, helping them win in a fast-moving market where AI connectivity is becoming the new battleground. You have deep familiarity with the Data infrastructure landscape, understand how enterprises govern and operationalize AI, and can connect Kong&rsquo;s platform capabilities to the real-world challenges of connectivity platform builders and operators.
What You&rsquo;ll Do:<ul><li>
Help shape the narrative for Kong&rsquo;s API + Event Management products by developing positioning, messaging, and content that resonates with platform engineers, eventing teams, architects, and enterprise buyers</li><li>
Become a product expert across API and Event Management products; understand the technology and API + Event Management best practices.</li><li>
Develop and maintain seller content including solution briefs, white papers, battlecards, and keynote stories that articulate Kong&rsquo;s differentiation in the AI connectivity space</li><li>
Act as a thought leader in the API and Event management space; represent Kong in analyst briefings, industry events, customer advisory boards, and conference keynotes</li><li>
Collaborate with Product to shape the roadmap by bringing market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights into the prioritization process</li><li>
Partner with Field Enablement to build sales plays, pitch frameworks, and competitive positioning that equips AEs and SEs</li><li>
Work closely with Demand Gen and Content teams to develop integrated campaigns that generate pipeline in focused accounts and personas</li><li>
Monitor the competitive landscape across API management and Event management tooling vendors; develop proactive counter-positioning and win/loss analysis</li></ul>
Who You Are:<ul><li>
5+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 2 years in developer infrastructure, API management, cloud-native, or data streaming technologies.</li><li>
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into crisp narratives that land with both technical practitioners and C-suite buyers</li><li>
Track record of developing product launches, sales enablement materials, and competitive intelligence programs that move pipeline and accelerate deals</li><li>
Highly collaborative&mdash;you thrive working across Product, Marketing, Field, and Developer Relations; you influence without authority and build trust through expertise and follow-through</li><li>
Comfortable owning a stage: keynote presentations, analyst briefings, customer roundtables, and demo-heavy sessions are energizing, not intimidating</li><li>
Experience in open-source software, SaaS platforms, and enterprise go-to-market motions strongly preferred</li><li>
Familiarity with the API connectivity and Event landscape&mdash;including awareness of competing and complementary vendors across API gateways, AI observability, vector databases, IPaaS, and agentic orchestration frameworks&mdash;is a strong plus</li></ul>

Senior Product Marketing Manager - API and Event Management

We are looking for a Senior Practice Manager to join the growing Professional Services team at Kong. As a Sr. Practice Manager, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire customer lifecycle and lead the regional professional services team (Architects and Engineers) to drive prescriptive outcomes for Kong customers. You will be responsible for success across the defined install base to drive adoption, consumption, customer satisfaction, expansion and ensure team growth and development.
Practice Manager will ensure our customers are getting the most value out of Kong products. As a primary professional services contact and ambassador for our customers, the practice manager is a strategic long-term, relationship-based customer-facing role. Apart from driving key business metrics, the Practice Manager will also focus on practice building, growing, and evolving the team as well as driving day-to-day professional services business needs.
This is an important role and requires someone with exceptional leadership, organizational, communication skills and the ability to multitask, context switch, and manage the entire customer deployment lifecycle. This role also involves supporting various stakeholders (Sales, Pre Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Finance, RevOps, and others). What we are looking for:<ul><li>
Across the defined regional customer base, engage with customer organizations (from Developers, Architects to C-level executives) to build the initial professional services direction, and oversee the customer success throughout the Kong deployment phase including the onboarding/adoption phase of the customer journey.
</li><li>Engage with Kong customers across the sales and pre-sales cycle to define overall implementation and deployment strategy to ensure success.
</li><li>Perform activities to gather scope and build prescriptive outcome-based proposals for immediate and long-term adoption. This will include negotiating MSAs, SOWs as well as partner agreements.
</li><li>Work with customers and stakeholders to understand and analyze engagement scope, requirements, time, cost, benefits, etc. Drive the engagement lifecycle end to end to deliver business outcomes.</li><li>
Responsible for achieving key business metrics such as PS Bookings, Team Utilization, Revenue Growth, Overall success, and satisfaction across the defined customer cohort.
</li><li>Identify, prioritize, and own resolution of internal and customer escalations &amp; project risks, driving an effective resolution across technical, business, and executive stakeholders.</li><li>

</li><li>Engage routinely with the Kong Product, Engineering, and Sales team to build an overall strategy to drive adoption, innovation, and maturity in our engagement &amp; delivery model.

What you will bring to Kong:<ul><li>
Strong professional services leadership background and experience in the API/Open Source space would be an added advantage</li><li>
Experience overseeing service delivery in the enterprise IT delivery across a multi-million-dollar portfolio
</li><li>Deep experience in building and developing remote professional services teams including career growth planning, performance, and resource management

We're looking for a Senior Data &amp; AI Engineer to join our Revenue Analytics team. In this role, you'll own both the data infrastructure and AI systems that power revenue insights and intelligent experiences across the business. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining reliable pipelines and scalable data models and determining how we connect those data assets to AI tools &mdash; which solutions we invest in, and how we do it securely and cost-effectively.

Contribute to data governance practices, including access controls, PII handling, and schema management</li><li>
Partner with Data, Security, and Legal teams to establish AI data governance standards and guardrails</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Cost Management &amp; Optimization</h3><ul><li>
Monitor and manage AI credit consumption across Snowflake Cortex, API usage, and other platforms to keep spending within budget</li><li>
Identify and implement optimizations &mdash; such as caching, prompt tuning, model selection, and query efficiency improvements &mdash; to reduce cost without sacrificing quality</li><li>
Build reporting to give stakeholders visibility into AI spend and usage trends</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Cross-Functional Partnership</h3><ul><li>
Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, and Sales to understand data needs and translate them into scalable engineering solutions</li><li>

What We're Looking For<ul><li>
3+ years of experience in a data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI/ML engineering role</li><li>
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, query optimization, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, semantic layers, and security model (RBAC, RLS)</li><li>
Proficiency with Fivetran for pipeline orchestration and connector management</li><li>
Experience with Hightouch or similar reverse ETL tools for syncing data to operational systems</li><li>
Experience integrating LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, or similar) into production data workflows via API</li><li>
Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks and patterns (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or custom implementations)</li><li>
Strong understanding of AI/LLM evaluation methodologies &mdash; you know how to measure whether an AI solution is actually working</li><li>
