Responsibilities:

Job Duties:
</div><ul><li>Assist in the Triaging of incoming prescriptions</li><li>
Verify and gather necessary patient information including name, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies, chronic conditions, request for non-safety caps and insurance information</li><li>
Assess the workload, establish the prescription pick up time and queue the prescription for processing</li><li>
Assist in the delivery of prescriptions to the patient, including obtaining patient signatures</li><li>
Performing cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department</li><li>
Provide quality customer service to all customers</li><li>
Perform housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a professional environment, including replenishment of necessary vials and dispensing containers, labels and computer paper supplies</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information</li><li>
Must keep current with all State and Federal requirements as related to conditions of employment</li><li>
Perform all store clerk duties as needed</li><li>
Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:</div><ul><li>
Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED</li><li>
Preferred: AS Degree or Higher Required
</li></ul><div>Vermont Employees: Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician Experience:</div><div><br>

Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary: </b>Responsible for ringing out each customer&rsquo;s purchases while ensuring total customer satisfaction.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
Job Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check and charge transactions</li><li>
Accurately provide change to customers</li><li>
Follow proper procedure for closing out of register at end of shift
</li><li>Request additional help as needed to maintain appropriate customer service levels</li><li>
Offer assistance to customers with large purchases as needed (carry purchases out to their cars)
</li><li>Replenish inventory from in-store stock and in coming orders</li><li>
Perform general housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a professional and clean check out area</li><li>
Assist in the maintenance of general store cleanliness including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, and entry ways- responsible for daily store standards</li><li>
Replenish register supplies as needed
</li><li>Answer the phone using appropriate greeting and maintaining customer service levels as needed</li><li>
Assist in the inventory management, price marking and merchandising of the check out area and surrounding departments as needed</li><li>
React to potential shoplifters following company policy</li><li>
Assist in the implementation of Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising)</li><li>
Assist in the ordering of replacement product from the appropriate supplier</li><li>
Assist in identifying and returning outdated or over stocked merchandise to the proper source</li><li>
Accurately package and prepare items for home/business delivery</li><li>
Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Store Clerk

Scope of Responsibilities:
</div><div>Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist. Follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. May assist in orienting and training employees. Assist the professional staff in the triaging, processing and delivery of prescriptions to the patient. Assist in the management of the Pharmacy Inventory and Third-Party Receivables.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform duties of Pharmacy Clerk as needed including, but not limited to running cash register and answering telephones
</li><li>Executes the plan &ndash; able to learn and understand specific aspects of the pharmacy management system (i.e., reception and release to patient queues) as well as our POS system; follows instructions and completes tasks with a sense of urgency; responsible for daily department standards</li><li>
Quality focused &ndash; understands and embraces the importance of our Quality Assurance Policy &amp; Procedures; understands and embraces all patient care programs and initiatives; understands and embraces all policies and procedures; accuracy with cash and related cash controls</li><li>
Intermediate to advanced understanding of pharmacy technology &ndash; included is product dispensing, data entry, and adjudication workflow step</li><li>
Insure that every prescription has been checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing to the patient</li><li>
Assist in the initial submission, and resubmission (as required) of all third-party claims</li><li>
Inventory management &ndash; proficient in inventory management including ordering &amp; receiving processes, inventory freshness; proficient with return to stocks and cycle counting</li><li>
Assist in the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing all returns</li><li>
Locating prescription files and other manual records from storage as needed</li><li>
Prepare and file manual records for pharmacist signatures and review</li><li>
Integrity/Ethical Behavior &ndash; acts with integrity always; never willing to compromise integrity; behaves in a manner consistent with company standards; understands and fully complies with all HIPPA compliance standards</li><li>
Regulatory &amp; Operational Compliance &ndash; Proficient in all state and federal regulations ensuring compliance with the law; understands and ensures we follow company operational policies &amp; procedures.</li><li>

PTCB or other nationally recognized certification program
