We&rsquo;re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join our team.About the RoleWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent 1 to join our procurement team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in managing the acquisition of goods and services essential for our organization's operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:&middot; Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria&middot; Interviewing suppliers&rsquo; and visiting suppliers&rsquo; facilities to learn about products, services and pricing&middot; Negotiating contracts with suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company&middot; Verifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives&middot; Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors&middot; Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories&middot; Reconciling with warehouse and accounting to insure accurate billing&middot; Attend industry trade shows to learn about trends and to meet suppliers Department Specific Requirements&middot; Responsible for Deal Coordination&middot; Must negotiate co-sponsorships from affiliated suppliers&middot; Must Have 1-2 Years of Purchasing Experience&middot; Understanding of business and management principles.&middot; Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company. Software Knowledge&middot; Microsoft Great Plains&middot; Microsoft Office Suite&middot; Windows 10&middot; B.I.
