By working in the areas of economic empowerment of women and education of children, Kriti works towards the larger vision of eliminating urban poverty.About the Project:Projects Pratibha and Kaushal aim to provide free computer training to school going children and young adults living in Hyderabad. Under this project, Kriti has been running computer classes in 9 government schools in Hyderabad. We are also planning to extend the program.Government Schools (2 Positions details below)&#9679; The classes will be conducted for students from class VI to class IX studying in the government schools. A computer lab is set up in the schools and the students will come to the lab for the classes as per timetable prepared in coordination with the school head master&#9679; The computer lab in the school will have sufficient desk top computers.&#9679; Many types of software such as computer basics, MS office, Logic and Programming skills etcwill be taught to the students using a graded curriculum developed by Kriti.&middot; Follow school timings&middot; Spoken Hindi is requiredCommunity Center (1 Position, details below)&#9679; The classes will be conducted free for all students above 10 years from our community center at Shaikpet.&#9679; Many types of software such as computer basics, MS office, Logic and Programming skills, animation with scratch, robotics etc will be taught to the students using the curriculum developed by Kriti.&#9679; Timings will be 10 to 7 PM and working on Saturday and Sundays. Friday will be weekly off.&#9679; Spoken Hindi and spoken Telugu is required.The Profile:We are searching for enthusiastic computer trainers to promote computer literacy amongst the youth. Computer teachers should enable the children to become well versed in computer skills and ensure that equipment remains in excellent working condition.Roles and Responsibilities:&#9679; Managing the computer lab in a government high school or independent location&#9679; Should have knowledge of computer operation and networking.&#9679; Ability to manage children in classroom.&#9679; Providing individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning.&#9679; Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience.&#9679; Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safeguarding assets in the lab- computer, furniture, peripherals, resources, projector etc.&#9679; Able to resolve technical issues in the lab and in case of major problems, able to get the issue resolved by an external technical expert after informing the management.&#9679; Actively assist in building curriculum for the various courses.&#9679; Conduct classroom training sessions as per the training content provided.&#9679; Maintain data on students who are attending sessions and number of sessions done every day&#9679; Conduct and compile test results and share with the education coordinator every month.&#9679; Conduct soft skills training classes for the students based on training and content provided by Kriti managementOur Requirements:&#9679; Degree in computer science or related discipline.&#9679; Prior experience as a computer teacher.&#9679; Excellent communication skills in English, Telugu or Hindi.
