General Skills/Requirements&middot; Proficiency in English&middot; Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills&middot; Attention to details with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities&middot; Solid time management skills&middot; Professional appearance&middot; Ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers&middot; Physically able to navigate/attend bid-walks and site visits at active construction sites&middot; Clean criminal background and credit history&middot; Must pass drug screening and background check (pre-employment and random)Potential Job Responsibilities&middot; Engineering, Sales, and Estimatingo Generate new sales/customers and maintain existing customer baseo Maintain and build relationships with clients by offering competitive and accurate bids and providing innovative solutionso Conceptual estimating/budgetingo Mechanical piping/HVAC system design as needed for design-build estimates/projectso Read and understand mechanical piping/HVAC drawingso Review project specifications to ensure bid complianceo Perform accurate quantity take-offs and utilize unit pricing method to generate project estimateso Solicit quotations from subcontractors and supplierso Compile take-offs and quotations to prepare accurate and timely estimateso Prepare and submit proposals to customers&middot; Project Managemento Manage multiple mechanical piping/HVAC projectso Review contracts to ensure complianceo Direct and monitor sold projects from start to completiono Manage project material buyouts/purchasingo Meet with contractors and vendors to ensure quality product and timely deliverieso Manage construction budget by monitoring project expenditures, identifying and evaluating variances in expenditures vs. estimate, and negotiating change orderso Create/process submittals, RFIs, change orders, billings, closeout documents and other project related documents/processeso Work with other project management team members to facilitate and oversee field crew installations and subcontractors on multiple projects &ndash; regular interaction with union tradesmeno Support foremen and field staff with project needso Visit projects to review work and ensure safe/on-time field installations.Experience/Education&middot; Prior experience with commercial/industrial mechanical estimating and/or project management (or technical training in mechanical HVAC field)&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade/related experience&middot; 5-10 years experience in the mechanical piping and HVAC construction industry&middot; Basic knowledge of construction accounting&middot; Proficient in Microsoft suite of general office programs&middot; P.E. License or E.I.T. License a plus, but not required&middot; AutoCad experience a plus, but not required&middot; Experience with Fastpipe/Fastduct estimating system a plus, but not requiredPossessing the above skills/experience not necessary to apply.
