About the Role 
We&rsquo;re hiring a Plant Mixers &amp; Maintenance team member to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on loaders, concrete batch plants, and related equipment. This role also operates a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, load trucks, maintain stockpiles, and operate a concrete batch plant when required.

This position is perfect for someone who is hands-on, safety-minded, and ready to support plant operations with skill and reliability.

What You&rsquo;ll Do
<ul>
<li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on loaders, concrete batch plants, and related equipment
</li>
<li>Safely operate a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, load trucks, and maintain stockpiles
</li>
<li>Operate a concrete batch plant as needed
</li>
<li>Follow all safety requirements and procedures outlined in The Gerken Companies EHS Manual
</li>
<li>Perform duties professionally and courteously while complying with company policies
</li>
<li>Maintain regular in-person attendance
</li>
<li>Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management
</li>
</ul>What You Bring to the Table
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required
</li>
<li>Experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical functions preferred
</li>
<li>Ready-mix concrete experience highly desirable, including:
<ul>
<li>Prior or current work with a ready-mix concrete producer
</li>
<li>Experience operating or maintaining a concrete batch plant
</li>
</ul></li><li>Ability to safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader (training/experience required)
</li>
<li>Welding and burning skills preferred
</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, customer-service, math, and computer skills
</li>
<li>Team-oriented with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively
</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
</li>
</ul>Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Ability to work in various weather conditions
</li>
<li>Prolonged periods of standing and walking
</li>
<li>Safely access and navigate facilities, including climbing and descending ladders
</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
</li>
<li>Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed
</li>
