1. Role SummaryThe CDMO Manager will oversee contract development and manufacturing operations for cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical products. The role involves identifying and managing external contract manufacturing partners, leading formulation development &amp; technology transfer, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards, and coordinating timely production and delivery.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Contract Manufacturing &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Identify, audit, and onboard CMOs/third-party manufacturers for cosmetics, pharma, and nutraceutical products.</li><li>Negotiate commercial terms, manufacturing agreements, quality standards, and SLAs.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure seamless operations.</li><li>Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews (quality, cost, delivery).</li></ul>B. Product Development &amp; Technology Transfer<ul><li>Coordinate formulation development for skincare, personal care, OTC products, tablets, capsules, syrups, powders, gummies, etc.</li><li>Lead technology transfer from R&amp;D to manufacturing partners.</li><li>Review/revise batch manufacturing records (BMR), SOPs, and process documents.</li><li>Support scale-up, pilot batches, stability batches, and validation.</li></ul>C. Quality &amp; Regulatory Compliance<ul><li>Ensure compliance with:</li><li>Cosmetics: BIS guidelines, FDA (India), GMP for cosmetics.</li><li>Pharma: GMP/cGMP, WHO, Schedule M, regulatory filings.</li><li>Nutraceuticals: FSSAI norms, labelling and safety standards.</li><li>Coordinate with QA/QC for batch release, documentation, audits, CAPA, and deviation closures.</li><li>Monitor product quality, consistency, and compliance across all partners.</li></ul>D. Production &amp; Supply Chain Coordination<ul><li>Plan and monitor production with all contract manufacturing units.</li><li>Ensure availability of RM/PM, packing materials, and artwork approvals.</li><li>Track batch status, WIP, yields, and dispatch timelines.</li><li>Resolve production bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery.</li></ul>E. Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with R&amp;D, QA, QC, SCM, Regulatory, Marketing, and Finance teams.</li><li>Provide updates on project timelines and manufacturing readiness.</li><li>Support new product launches and ensure successful market rollouts.</li></ul>3. Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong technical understanding of cosmetics, pharma, and nutraceutical manufacturing processes.</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: FSSAI, GMP/cGMP, WHO, Cosmetic Rules.</li><li>Vendor management, negotiation &amp; cost optimization skills.</li><li>Excellent project management &amp; documentation capability.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple contract partners simultaneously.</li></ul>4.
