We are seeking someone to join our team to keep our office running efficiently, support multiple staff and programs including financial processes and answering inquiries from students, parents and other constituents.</p><p>
This position provides complex secretarial and administrative support at a high confidential level to the Assistant Vice President &amp; Dean of Students and the Assistant Dean of Students for Student Assistance. In this role the Administrative Assistant is the primary receiver of visitors and calls to the office. This person recommends, develops, and carries out administrative or staff operations, work standards and procedures, research and studies, and prepares reports of findings and recommendations in budgeting and departmental finances. The position provides support for Student Affairs initiatives, projects, events, student retention and development programs, response initiatives, and student inquiries.</p><p>
This position ensures the smooth operation of all aspects/programs under the Assistant Vice President &amp; Dean of Students in concert with the Division of Student Affairs. This position requires excellent judgement, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. This position requires dealing directly with students, faculty, administrators, parents, and the public from diverse backgrounds, and includes responding to inquiries and resolving problems as necessary.</p><p>
The successful candidate will assist in creating an inclusive office environment and ensure that the office culture, language, and customer service celebrates diversity and is inclusive and welcoming to all students, staff, faculty, vendors, and guests.</p></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>2 years of administrative experience</li><li>
Experience with budget management</li><li>
Fluent with office technology and computer programs, including working with the Microsoft 365 Office Suite</li></ul></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Knowledge of and experience using KU/PASSHE computer systems including Banner, SAP, D2L, lngenuix, Maxient, MyKU, ESS, Handshake, EMS, Source Point, and other commonly used software products.</li><li>
Experience with assessment of programs, events, and initiatives.</li><li>
5 or more years administrative or student affairs experience</li><li>
Associates Degree or job-specific training/experience</li></ul></div><p></p>

<div><p>The Management Technician is part of the Rohrbach Library team. It is a key leadership role that combines customer service, supervision, and library operations. This position will hire, train and supervise student employees for the information desk and the curriculum materials collection. They will oversee the daily operations of the information desk, manage circulation services, coordinate course reserve materials, and play an important role in supporting student success. Additionally, this position will serve as the primary point of contact for library patrons, ensuring every visitor receives accurate, professional, and welcoming assistance.<br>
<br>
This full-time position offers a consistent Monday &ndash; Friday schedule from 7:30am &ndash; 4:00pm, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays required.</p></div><br>
