Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Embedded OS Developer (Mobile) to design, develop, and customize a tailored version of Android OS and low-level software for mobile and embedded devices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AOSP, Android system internals, the Linux kernel, and hardware integration. The role requires hands-on expertise in developing system-level components, customizing the Android framework, and performing device bring-up from the ground up.Key Responsibilities&middot; Build and customize Android OS from AOSP source code&middot; Modify and develop components of Android OS, including Framework, System Services, HAL, and Native layers&middot; Develop and integrate Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) components&middot; Work on Linux kernel, including kernel configuration and device driver development&middot; Design and implement device drivers (modem, sensors, GPS, camera, etc.)&middot; Perform device bring-up for new hardware platforms&middot; Customize bootloader, kernel, init process, and system images&middot; Integrate and optimize modem / eSIM / telecom stack components&middot; Implement enterprise mobility features such as MDM, device provisioning, and policy control&middot; Debug system-level and kernel-level issues using tools like ADB, Logcat, dmesg, and JTAG&middot; Optimize system performance, memory usage, power consumption, and boot time&middot; Collaborate with hardware, backend, network, security, and application teamsRequired Skills &amp; Qualifications&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field&middot; 3&ndash;4 years of experience in embedded systems / Android OS development&middot; Strong programming skills in C / C++&middot; Strong understanding of Android OS architecture (AOSP), including:&middot; Framework, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), and Native layers&middot; Binder IPC and system services&middot; Hands-on experience with:&middot; AOSP build system&middot; Android system-level development and customization&middot; Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, including:&middot; Kernel configuration&middot; Device driver development&middot; Experience with Android boot process:&middot; Bootloader &rarr; Kernel &rarr; Init &rarr; Zygote&middot; Familiarity with:&middot; Bootloader and firmware development&middot; Debugging tools (ADB, Logcat, dmesg, JTAG, GDB)&middot; Proficiency in debugging low-level system and kernel issues&middot; Experience with build systems such as AOSP and Yocto is a plusPreferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in custom ROM / firmware development</li><li>Knowledge of Android Enterprise / MDM solutions</li><li>Familiarity with security frameworks (TEE, Secure Boot)</li><li>Experience with MDM solutions or Android enterprise</li><li>Experience working with chipset vendors (Qualcomm, MediaTek, etc.)</li><li>Exposure to IoT or embedded Linux-based devices</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
