Responsible for locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. Works and negotiates with suppliers to purchase goods and services for Blazer Boats.Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review production orders prior to starting to insure no delays of product specific items per boat</li><li>Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock</li><li>Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria</li><li>Interview vendors to learn about products, services and pricing</li><li>Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of Blazer Boats</li><li>Verifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products</li><li>Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors</li><li>Authorizing payments, maintain receipts, records purchase orders, contracts, receipts, transactions &amp; inventories</li><li>Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner</li><li>Have reliable transportation</li><li>Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.</li><li>Unload incoming deliveries and assign inventory to correct location</li><li>Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system</li><li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.</li><li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li><li>Proper procedure for warranty part returns (dealer/supplier)</li><li>Execute written communication of product delays and shortages to upper management via email</li><li>Oversee inventory levels and forecast orders</li></ul>&middot; Other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities: &middot; Negotiation and analytical skills&middot; Judgment and decision-making skills&middot; Effective communications skills, including writing, speaking and active listening&middot; Exceptional attention to detail, time management, leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills&middot; Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures&middot; Boat parts knowledge&middot; Warehouse or logistics experience&middot; Surveillance skills&middot; Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices &amp; logistics&middot; Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applicationsEducation and Experience:&middot; High school diploma or equivalent.&middot; 2-3 years&rsquo; experience preferred in ERP Software&middot; Boat/Marine experience a plusPhysical Requirements: &middot; Must be at least 18 years old&middot; Able to lift 50+ lbs.&middot; Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting at a computerJob Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Pensacola, FL 32514 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
