Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Sales Associate and Vintage Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have a passion for resale and vintage fashion. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also play a key role in buying vintage from customers, merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries.</li><li>Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.</li><li>Suggest products by understanding the product assortment and recommending suitable options.</li><li>Maintain organized merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and appeal.</li><li>Stock shelves and ensure that products are replenished as needed throughout the store.</li><li>Assist customers in selling their clothing and accessories to the shop by following shop buying procedures.</li><li>Select quality merchandise in good condition for the store that best suits our customers needs</li><li>Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.</li><li>Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.</li><li>Experience with vintage and resale is a plus.</li><li>Intermediate level of understanding vintage fashion and ability to accurately date garments is helpful.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.</li><li>Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.</li><li>Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is desirable.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on leadership roles within the team.</li><li>Vintage resellers are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions, however weekend availability is a must.</li></ul>Join our team today and become an integral part of creating an exceptional shopping experience for our valued customers!Job Type: Part-timePay: From $17.50 per hourExpected hours: 18 &ndash; 26 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
