Fully Accredited Representative Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Fully Accredited Representative will provide legal representation and support to clients seeking immigration relief. This role involves conducting legal consultations, preparing and filing immigration applications, and representing clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The representative will work closely with a team of legal professionals and advocates to ensure clients receive high-quality legal services.Reports to: Supervising AttorneyEducation: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, and/or law degree (JD preferred/LLM preferred)Certification: DOJ Accreditation (preferred)Requirements: Spanish (preferred)Experience: Minimum1 year of relevant experienceEssential Job DutiesLegal Representation:<ul><li>Represent detained and non-detained clients in immigration matters before EOIR, USCIS, and other relevant agencies according to internal caseload requirements.</li><li>Prepare and file a variety of immigration forms and applications.</li><li>Provide legal advice and consultations to clients, assessing their eligibility for immigration benefits and relief.</li><li>Assist as co-counsel in other legal providers&rsquo; cases.</li><li>Cover for other legal provider&rsquo;s court appearances and interviews.</li></ul>Case Management:<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, ensuring all client interactions and legal actions are thoroughly documented.</li><li>Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.</li><li>Monitor case progress and follow up with clients as necessary.</li></ul>Client Support:<ul><li>Conduct client intake interviews to gather necessary information and assess legal needs.</li><li>Provide information and education to clients about their legal rights and options.</li><li>Offer emotional support and guidance to clients navigating the complex immigration process.</li></ul>Advocacy and Outreach:<ul><li>Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to advocate for immigrant rights.</li><li>Participate in community outreach efforts, including legal workshops and information sessions.</li><li>Work with the organization's leadership to develop and implement advocacy strategies.</li></ul>Compliance and Reporting:<ul><li>Ensure compliance with DOJ and organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.</li><li>Attend trainings to maintain full OLAP accreditation from the Department of Justice.</li><li>Prepare and submit reports as required by the organization and funding agencies.</li><li>Stay current on changes in immigration law and policy, and adapt practices accordingly.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: In person
