Title:HR ManagerOverview:At Lafeber-EmerAid, we know that happy employees lead to increased productivity and better results. We&rsquo;re looking for an experienced human resources (HR) professional to assist with employee relations, policies, and practices to help us grow and thrive. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR, including onboarding, exit interviews, administration of benefits and compensation, and conflict resolution. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as enthusiasm for nurturing employee performance in a positive and productive work environment.Primary Responsibilities:&middot; Maintain, develop, and implement employee processes and procedures, using HR systems for proper documentation&middot; Coordinate new-hire orientation and logistics, including scheduling, materials, and checklists for all required tasks&middot; Support staff members who have HR-related issues and concerns, such as compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, vacation, misconduct, and problem resolution&middot; Maintain HR records and employee files in accordance with compliance regulations and policies&middot; Participate in HR technology groups and forums, and attend vendor webinars on current software capabilities and enhanced functionalities&middot; Initiate and work closely with payroll and other departments, exercising discretion while working with highly confidential informationRequirements:&middot; Loves animals, demonstrated kindness, and integrity&middot; Good with appropriate personal and company boundaries&middot; Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individualsExcellent with managing and resolving employee conflictProject management skills with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written&middot; Planning, organization and problem-solving skills&middot; Experience with compliance with IL and Federal laws&middot; Experience with HR policies and improving them at a detailed level&middot; Strong computer skills required with 5+ years of experience with Microsoft OfficeQualifications:&middot; Minimum 10 years of experience in an HR role, with 5 years at a senior level&middot; College degree in business or HR is helpfulJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
