This is a key role assuming primary responsibility for regional customer relations, field installations and training, and equipment optimization services. Occasional overseas travel required.  Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Plan, manage and perform mechanical and electrical assembly, installation and commissioning of equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead mechanical and electrical subcontractors engaged by Laitram Machinery
 </li>
 <li>
 Train customers to operate, maintain and optimize equipment performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan and perform trials to optimize equipment performance and demonstrate value
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide warranty support by diagnosing failures, ordering parts and affecting repairs and replacements
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide insightful technical feedback to the Company&rsquo;s Engineering and R&amp;D departments to improve equipment performance and value
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist our commercial team in selling of the Company&rsquo;s food processing equipment and services
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum 5-10 years&rsquo; of work experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Working experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industries
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical drawings, schematic reading will be an advantage
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 2 years Electrical, Controls, PLC (Schneider) and Automation Systems knowledge and experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand PLC Programming for support reasons (no need to know design or programming).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to independently install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical equipment and control systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to read and understand manufacturer&rsquo;s drawings and manuals to &ldquo;self-teach&rdquo; new technology
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with PLC software and hardware
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong electro-mechanical skills (electrical panels, motors, drives and networks), experience with industrial control systems a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organizational and time management skills with high level of attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient with Excel and Word
 </li>
 <li>
 Positive, confident outlook with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving personality
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to travel extensively (50-70%) both domestically and internationally and work weekends, holidays and overtime when required
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to perform all essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and stand, kneel and squat on a repetitive basis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license and good driving record
