Lake Pleasant Road, Peoria, Arizona 85382About us:- Rated a 5 Star Facility by CMS - The FIRST in our area to open one of the most successful COVID units - We are continuously growing our employees into leadership positions. - Highest Rated Therapy Team - Great Staff to Patient RatioWe offer: - Guaranteed Full Time Hours Year Round - Amazing Benefits - Great Pay, Including Daily Pay for FT employees! - Discounts on cellular plans, movies, tickets, etc. - Advancement Opportunities - Flexible Schedules (if attending school) - Partnership with GCC, no Waitlist to get into the RN Program!Shifts:Monday- FridayHours range: 7am-5pm (schedule can be discussed further in interview.)Purpose of Your Job PositionThe primary purpose of your job position is to perform concise clerical duties (such as filing, taking phone calls, making photocopies, scheduling appointments, etc.) for the nursing floor and medical records office as needed, and to transcribe details of telephone orders given by physicians.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Functions<ul><li>Maintain department&rsquo;s supplies and keeps equipment operational.</li><li>Organize, label and file charts and medical records.</li><li>Help transport residents as needed.</li><li>Act as an information resource for patients, families, visitors, physicians, and outside reviewers in person and/or via telephone.</li><li>Complete clerical duties for admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths and passes such as transcribing orders to medication/treatment sheets, ordering medications, dietary changes, therapies etc.</li><li>Complete lab and special examination requisitions and data entry, as it pertains to the medical records department.</li><li>Greet visitors, doctors, and new admissions with warmth and friendliness; helping with any assistance needed.</li><li>Transcribe and verify admission orders and daily doctor&rsquo;s telephone orders will be verified and transcribed in a timely manner.</li><li>Complete medical records by reviewing and assembling paperwork in proper order into a permanent folder.</li><li>Order labs, ultrasounds etc. required for new admissions.</li><li>Verify proper authorization for release of information. Processes subpoenas and routine request for copies of medical records. Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.</li><li>Operate paging/telephone system as required.</li><li>Answer telephone, determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.</li><li>Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures.</li><li>Ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed.</li><li>Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.</li><li>Receive, sort and distribute mail as directed.</li><li>Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate including filling in for other department personnel (such as marketing, social services etc.)</li></ul>Job Functions Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position.
