This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills while making a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; lives.Duties<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for surgical procedures involving oral surgery, implant placement, and other specialty treatments</li><li>Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort</li><li>Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels before and after procedures to ensure patient safety</li><li>Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer questions about procedures and recovery processes</li><li>Ensure all medical documentation is complete, precise, and up-to-date for legal and insurance purposes</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by sterilizing equipment and adhering to infection control protocols</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency with dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to oral surgery and general dentistry</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times</li><li>Ability to assess patients&rsquo; health status by taking vital signs and recognizing signs of medical emergencies</li><li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dental team members and educate patients clearly</li><li>Prior experience in dental assisting or dental clinic environments is highly preferred</li></ul>This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dental healthcare while providing compassionate support in a busy clinical setting.
