Landis+Gyr is seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to work on-site full-time hours Monday through Friday at our Pequot Lakes, Minnesota location. This is a paid internship but we don't provide housing assistance or relocation so will be considering local applicants.</div><br>

Project Overview</b></div><div><br>
Selected student will work with Hardware/Firmware Development team to assist in the development/validation of communications technology and continued test environment support activities. (programming meters/modifications/tool creation/etc.)<br>
At the end of the Intern period a presentation is to be given to the Director of Hardware Development. (summarizing development support activities and what was learned).</div><br>

Student Objectives/Responsibilities</b></div><div><br>
<ul><li>Prototype Hardware debug and test</li><li>Design and test stand-alone hardware and/or Software in support of HW validation efforts</li><li>Prepare DUTs for test rounds</li><li>Acquire skills at operating typical lab test equipment and soldering</li><li>Collaborate with Development Engineers and Engineering Lab Technicians in support of HW development on-going projects</li><li>Prepare circuit simulations, circuit analysis, custom tool (SW) creation</li></ul></div><br>

Education/Experience</b></div><div><br>
Qualifications Sought: MS Office suite, basic schematic and electrical component understanding, Coding experience with software such as C#/C++/Python/etc.</div>

Applicants must be undergraduate students working towards their Bachelors degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and have residence in or around the Pequot Lakes, MN area.</div><br>
