Staff Accountant</b><br>

We&rsquo;re looking for a detail-oriented <b>Staff Accountant</b> to join our team. In this role, you&rsquo;ll handle a variety of accounting tasks&mdash;from reconciling general ledger accounts to preparing journal entries and analyzing monthly financial data. You&rsquo;ll play a key part in helping us understand financial trends and support operational decisions across the business.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Prepare journal entries for expense reclassifications, accruals, and prepaid items.</li><li>
Compile monthly income statements and verify supporting documents for accuracy.</li><li>
Review monthly financial results and investigate any variances from historical trends or operational reports.</li><li>
Maintain organized work papers that clearly reflect balance sheet activity and include all necessary documentation.</li><li>
Provide timely and accurate accounting support to our Operations team.</li><li>
Manage vendor payments (utilities, rent, beverage suppliers, etc.) to ensure they&rsquo;re processed on time.</li><li>
Keep departmental spreadsheets up to date with current financial data.</li><li>
Communicate regularly with the Accounting Manager and Operations team about any issues at specific restaurant locations.</li><li>
Pitch in on special projects, offering financial insights and administrative support as needed.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting preferred.</li><li>
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.</li><li>
Experience preparing manual journal entries as part of the monthly close process.</li><li>
1&ndash;2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships count!). Experience in multi-unit or restaurant accounting is a plus.</li><li>
Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.</li><li>
Strong communication skills&mdash;you know how to explain financial info clearly.</li><li>
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.</li><li>
A team player who builds positive relationships and listens actively.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.</li><li>
Must pass an Accounting Proficiency Assessment.<div><b>
