POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel in order to build metal structures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Welds and cuts black carbon and galvanized steel, interprets blueprints</li><li>
Ability to operate hand tools, grinders, etc</li><li>
Ability to operate and/or willingness to learn operation of basic shop machinery</li><li>
Ensure product is manufactured according to print</li><li>
Must keep area neat and clean in accordance with 6S leadership and standards/goals</li><li>
Adheres and comply with all company safety requirements</li></ul>
ATTRIBUTES<ul><li>
Read and understand schematics and blueprints</li><li>
Ability to read basic blueprints and weld symbols</li><li>
Ability to read a tape measure</li><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide (Lbs., Ft. Inch.)</li><li>
Operating Vehicles, Mechanical Devices or Equipment</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred</li><li>
Previous professional welding experience</li><li>
Fundamental understanding of various weld processes and welding machinery</li><li>
Ability to read basic blueprints and weld symbols</li><li>
Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds repeatedly and overhead</li></ul>
