Job description:Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CART (Communication Access Real-time Translation) Onsite Specialist to join our team in Ft. Leavenworth, KS (66027). This vital role involves providing real-time captioning services to ensure clear and accurate communication access for individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or benefit from text-based support. As a CART Specialist, you will serve as a linguistic and accessibility bridge, ensuring that spoken communication is fully captured and conveyed in written form. Your commitment to precision and inclusivity will help foster understanding, trust, and positive outcomes across diverse settings.Responsibilities<ul><li>Deliver real-time captioning of spoken communication during onsite events such as meetings, trainings, legal proceedings, educational sessions, or community programs.</li><li>Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of transcribed content while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Translate technical, legal, or specialized terminology into clear written text that is accessible to all participants.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and clients to prepare for assignments, including reviewing relevant materials and understanding specialized vocabulary.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of captioning sessions while respecting privacy and confidentiality protocols.</li><li>Promote accessibility and inclusivity by fostering awareness of CART services and their impact on diverse populations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Strong proficiency in real-time transcription and captioning, with proven experience in CART or related accessibility services.</li><li>Familiarity with CART technology platforms and captioning software.</li><li>Excellent command of English with the ability to capture spoken communication accurately and empathetically.</li><li>Background in linguistics, communication, or related fields is desirable.</li><li>Ability to work onsite consistently in Ft.
