 Overview
 
 
 
 The Member Bill Specialist at Lantern is a pivotal member of the Provider Communication Team, serving as the primary point of contact for members who receive bills for services. This role requires a proactive approach to researching and resolving billing errors, as well as an emphasis on engaging with members and promoting the value of our services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Investigate and determine the root cause of member billing issues, resolving errors promptly and accurately.
 </li>
 <li>
 Track and report trends related to common billing errors from providers to address and mitigate systemic issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the completeness and authenticity of member bills. Verify that all charges are accurate and reflect the services provided.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and audit Member Bill records on SharePoint in compliance with regulations, rules, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular reviews for accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledgeable about component coverage to effectively handle and resolve billing issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage potential payments ranging from $500 to $2000, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Audit Member Bill payment requests and prepare them for Supervisor approval, ensuring compliance with all documentation and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage with members professionally and empathetically, effectively communicating and promoting the value of Lantern services. Operate with a customer-first mindset to enhance member satisfaction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in billing or customer service, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Must have a thorough understanding of billing processes, component coverage, and relevant regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the claims processing team
