Job Summary:We are seeking a detail oriented and dependable Medical Billing Specialist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. Our practice offers Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Primary Care, and Massage services, providing a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced setting. While prior billing experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to learn.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare, review, and submit both electronic and paper medical claims to insurance companies.</li><li>Follow up on unpaid or denied claims; research and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Post insurance and patient payments accurately and reconcile patient accounts.</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations as needed.</li><li>Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, balances, and payment options.</li><li>Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper coding and documentation across multiple specialties.</li><li>Scheduling patients and answering phones</li><li>Assist with patient flow</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical billing or healthcare administration preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in medical billing, insurance processing, or a healthcare office setting preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, and EHR systems is a plus.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Some Benefits Include<ul><li>PTO</li><li>Sick Time</li><li>Matching 401K</li><li>Company Sponsored Life Insurance Policy</li><li>Paid Holidays</li></ul>If you are interested in this opportunity please submit your resume to shelby@larsonchiropractic.com or fax to 907-376-9225.Benefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
