Job Responsibilities<ul><li>
Oversee the overall strategic direction and management of the tax firm.</li><li>
Provide expert tax advice to high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and other entities.</li><li>
Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients to optimize their financial situation.</li><li>
Represent the firm and its clients before tax authorities and in legal proceedings, as required.</li><li>
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations and analyze their implications for clients and the firm.</li><li>
Establish and enforce the firm's policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Build and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, and other external stakeholders.</li><li>
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.</li><li>
Review complex tax returns and financial statements prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</li><li>
Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the firm&rsquo;s client base and service offerings.</li><li>
Manage the firm's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.</li><li>
Collaborate with other senior leaders and departments to align tax strategies with the overall business objectives.</li><li>
Provide thought leadership by speaking at conferences, contributing to publications, and engaging in professional organizations.</li><li>
Ensure the utilization of technology and software to enhance efficiency and client service in tax preparation and advisory</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master&rsquo;s degree or Juris Doctorate preferred</li><li>
Active CPA license or equivalent tax-related professional certification</li><li>
Minimum of 15 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department</li><li>
Proven experience in a leadership role with a tax advisory focus</li><li>
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations</li><li>
Experience with tax planning and strategy for both individuals and businesses</li><li>
Demonstrated expertise in complex tax research and analysis</li><li>
Strong understanding of business and financial principles</li><li>
Ability to develop and maintain high-level client relationships</li><li>
Experience with tax software and technology platforms</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills</li><li>
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills</li><li>
Strong managerial and mentorship capabilities</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precise attention to detail</li><li>
Proven track record of generating new business and expanding client services</li><li>
Commitment to continuing education and professional development</li><li>
Ability to work extended hours as needed, especially during tax season</li><li>
Familiarity with international tax laws and regulations is a plus</li><li>
Willingness to participate in community and professional organizations to enhance the firm&rsquo;s image and expand</li></ul>
