About the Role
LV Petroleum is a high-growth operator of more than 80 travel centers, convenience stores, gas stations, and quick-service restaurants across the United States. As we continue our aggressive expansion and renovation program, we are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of our remodel, renovation, and build-out projects. 
In this role, you will work closely with Construction Project Managers to ensure remodel projects stay on budget, costs are accurately tracked, and financial reporting supports timely, profitable execution &mdash; all while maintaining compliance in a dynamic retail/fuel environment. 
Requirements 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>
3+ years of experience in construction project accounting, job cost accounting, or project-based financial management (experience in retail, convenience store, fuel station, or commercial remodels is strongly preferred)</li><li>
Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing, change orders, retainage, lien waivers, and percentage-of-completion methods</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with construction accounting software (Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or similar)</li><li>
Solid knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for capital projects</li><li>
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal finance teams</li><li>
CPA or progress toward certification is a plus</li></ul> 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Manage end-to-end project accounting for multiple remodel and renovation projects across LV Petroleum&rsquo;s travel centers, convenience stores, fueling facilities, and quick-service restaurants</li><li>
Collaborate with Construction Project Managers to develop accurate project budgets, cost codes, and financial forecasts</li><li>
Track and analyze all project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and overhead; prepare monthly job cost reports and variance analysis</li><li>
Process invoices, change orders, pay applications, and payments while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with contracts</li><li>
Manage retainage, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and subcontractor compliance documentation</li><li>
Prepare accurate and timely billings, cost reports, and financial dashboards for project stakeholders and senior leadership</li><li>
Monitor cash flow, identify potential budget risks or overruns, and recommend corrective actions</li><li>
Support project closeouts by reconciling final costs, releasing retainage, and preparing final project financial summaries</li><li>
Assist with capital project forecasting, budgeting for new remodel initiatives, and integration of acquired locations</li><li>
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP)</li><li>
Participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency in construction accounting and reporting</li></ul>

Position Overview
The Truck Service Assistant General Manager is a key leadership role supporting the General Manager in running a busy Truck Service Center. You will help lead technicians and service advisors, ensure fast, high-quality repairs, maintain safety and compliance standards, optimize shop efficiency, and contribute to revenue growth through parts, service, and tire sales in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.This hands-on position is ideal for a motivated leader with solid technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck repair, proven team management skills, and a strong focus on customer service and operational results.
Reports to: Truck Service General Manager 
Requirements 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Assist the General Manager in overseeing all Truck Service Center operations, including service bays, parts inventory, and customer interactions.</li><li>
Support technicians with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and timely, high-quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.</li><li>
Help recruit, train, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of diesel technicians and service staff.</li><li>
Enforce strict safety protocols, environmental regulations, company policies, and industry standards (OSHA, DOT, etc.).</li><li>
Monitor shop productivity, workflow, repair turnaround times, and customer satisfaction to drive continuous improvement.</li><li>
Assist with parts and tire inventory management, cost control, and vendor relationships.</li><li>
Contribute to revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities for preventive maintenance, parts, and additional services.</li><li>
Handle customer concerns professionally, resolve issues quickly, and build loyalty with professional drivers and fleet operators.</li><li>
Support scheduling, labor management, and shift coverage to ensure reliable 24/7 service availability.</li><li>
Track key metrics (sales, margins, efficiency, safety) and collaborate on initiatives to improve performance.</li><li>
Promote truck service offerings and help increase utilization across the Travel Center.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
3&ndash;5+ years of progressive leadership experience in truck service, diesel repair shops, heavy equipment maintenance, or travel center truck care (preferred).</li><li>
Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer systems, diagnostics, and repairs.</li><li>
Demonstrated success leading and developing technical teams in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.</li><li>
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle pressure and deliver exceptional service.</li><li>
Experience managing parts inventory, controlling costs, and working with shop management systems.</li><li>
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean record; CDL preferred. ASE certifications or manufacturer training a strong plus.</li></ul>
