The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Data Scientist to join our team. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and building robust machine learning solutions, with a strong emphasis on rigorous experimentation, statistical rigor, and timely delivery. 
The ideal candidate is comfortable exploring messy real-world datasets, designing experiments, developing and optimizing predictive models, and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role suits someone who is proactive, intellectually curious, and can work independently. 
What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Modeling &amp; Analysis: Lead end-to-end development of machine learning and statistical models, from problem framing and feature engineering through to evaluation, iteration, and handoff to production.</li>
<li>Data Exploration &amp; Pipeline Collaboration: Dive deep into complex datasets to surface insights and work closely with engineers to define and validate the data pipelines that feed model development.</li>
<li>Benchmarking &amp; Evaluation: Design and maintain robust evaluation frameworks for models, providing data-driven insights that inform modeling decisions, vendor selection, and architectural trade-offs.</li>
<li>Structured Experimentation: Hypothesize, design, implement, and measure experiments to identify optimal modeling approaches and generate actionable optimization steps.</li>
<li>Technical Point of Contact: Serve as the data science lead on projects, engaging directly with customers' R&amp;D and analytics teams, translating their business questions into well-defined modeling problems and driving tangible impact through your expertise.</li>
<li>Project Delivery Oriented: Hold a deep sense of accountability for your analysis and models, their quality, and timely delivery. Own the design, planning, and execution of the data science workstreams.</li></ul>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master's in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar experience</li>
<li>Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and model evaluation techniques</li>
<li>Proficiency in designing and running structured experiments, including A/B testing and causal inference methods</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning across a range of problem types (classification, regression, clustering, time-series, etc.)</li>
<li>Experience working with LLMs and GenAI techniques as tools within the data science workflow</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of translating complex analytical findings into clear, actionable narratives for technical and non-technical audiences</li>
<li>Strong programming skills in Python, including the data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)</li>
<li>Comfort working with and querying large datasets using SQL or similar tools</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a healthy skepticism toward results</li>
<li>Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Proven ability to work independently, proactively own outcomes, and contribute effectively as part of a small, close-knit team</li></ul>

The Role

The AI Engagement Lead owns the gap between what a client wants from AI and what will actually pay off. Most clients arrive knowing AI can do something for them, but not what to build or whether it's worth it. You run the engagement end to end, from discovery through delivery: frame the real problem, steer the work toward a measurable outcome, hold the line on scope, and get something into production while it still matters.

You own whether the solution lands and whether the client comes away certain it was worth the spend. Engineers build it; you own whether it's the right thing to build in the first place. You run several engagements at once, moving between business goals and technical reality without losing either. 

What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Lead discovery as a real deliverable. Run workshops with senior client stakeholders, read their organization, and turn a fuzzy business situation into a defined project: the problem, the use cases, the success criteria, and what a win looks like in the client's own numbers.</li>
<li>Own each engagement's path to a business outcome. Watch every front (technical, commercial, relationship, delivery), get the right people in the room, drive the decision that needs making, and follow through until it sticks.</li>
<li>Hold the line on scope. Read each change request for what it really is, protect the version's outcome, and use versioned delivery to keep the conversation constructive instead of combative.</li>
<li>Push toward production. Drive an early, measurable win and keep the path from POC to production visible from day one.</li>
<li>Manage the sponsor and the story. Keep expectations calibrated and run the customer forums that matter, from steering committees to demos.</li>
<li>Work the pressure deliberately: decide when to absorb the client's anxiety yourself and when the team needs to feel it.</li>
<li>Surface the commercial picture. Flag margin signals, billability, and expansion opportunities with the business context attached.</li> 
</ul>
What We're Looking For

What you've done
<ul>
<li>7+ years in customer-facing roles, with 5+ of them owning client engagements end to end, from discovery through delivery, in AI or software services. Delivery lead, engagement manager, solutions consultant, product manager or similar. You've owned this before, not just watched it happen.</li>
<li>A track record of running discovery with senior stakeholders and turning it into a project people can actually execute.</li>
<li>Owned the scope, and ideally the commercial side, of client work.</li>
<li>Run several projects in parallel without dropping the thread on any of them.</li> 
</ul>

<li>You know modern AI, both GenAI and classical ML, well enough to hold your own with engineers and client CTOs. You don't need to write the code; you need to know what's real.</li>
<li>You build trust through substance, not overpromising. In a market full of noise, you're the one clients believe because you're specific and honest.</li>
<li>You stay steady when the client is anxious, the timeline is tight, or someone else set the wrong expectations, and you reset them without bruising the relationship.</li>
