Location: Richmond
Pls Note: Some after-hours and weekend hours required based on workload- Candidate must participate in on-call rotation. Candidate is expected to be at the office 5 days a week. They should be able to provide after hours and weekend support to apply patches and other maintenance activities.
Required Skills:
<ul><li>10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies:</li>
<li>Oracle Application Express 18 and higher(APEX)</li>
<li>Oracle Rest Data Services 22 and higher (ORDS)</li>
<li>Oracle WebLogic Server 14(both fusion middleware and weblogic suite)</li>
<li>Oracle Database 19c and 26ai</li>
<li>Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB)</li>
<li>Experience with upgrading Oracle Database from 19c to 26ai</li>
<li>Proficiency in Linux/Unix, including shell scripting</li>
<li>PDB cloning</li>
<li>RMAN and backup/recovery procedures</li>
<li>WebLogic administration(patching/maintenance)</li>
<li>Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 24ai</li>
<li>PSU Patching oracle db using Fleet Management Tool</li>
<li>Experience with DBaaS in OCI</li>
<li>Proficiency in Gitlab and Ansible scripting</li>
<li>Oracle dataguard</li>
<li>Additional Requirements:</li>
<li>Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture</li>
<li>Ability to design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions</li>
<li>Experience with Oracle OEM Cloud Control for monitoring and management</li>
<li>Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes</li>
<li>Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of database security best practices</li>
<li>Expertise in performance tuning and optimization</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Strong communication and collaboration abilities</li>
<li>Ability to provide 24/7 support and troubleshoot critical issues</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components</li>
<li>Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services</li>
<li>Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related technologies</li>
<li>Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions</li>
<li>Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and other tools</li>
<li>Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection</li>
<li>Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing tuning recommendations</li>
<li>Implement and automate routine tasks using shell scripting and tools like Ansible</li>
<li>Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless application deployment</li>
<li>Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, providing timely support</li>
<li>Document and train on best practices for Oracle OCI environment management</li>
</ul>
Skills &amp; Experience Requirements
<ul><li>Certification in Oracle technologies such as OCIP, OCP, or OCE</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI</li>
<li>Understanding of microservices architecture and API integration</li>
<li>Oracle Grid Control (including version 13c) ? Required ? 7+ years</li>
<li>Oracle WebLogic 12c / Fusion Middleware ? Highly Desired ? 7+ years</li>
<li>Oracle APEX Administration &amp; Support ? Required ? 5+ years</li>
