About the Role:

The Senior Financial Analyst - Attorney Credits &amp; Research is an integral part of Latham&rsquo;s Financial Analysis team. This role will be responsible for researching and analyzing client data using external market intelligence and search platforms, and internal systems, as well as reviewing internal lawyer information to advise partners on eligibility and how to apply for credits according to the firm&rsquo;s policies, while building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with attorneys and staff at all levels to support and advise on credit. This role will be located in our New York or Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.</div>
Responsibilities &amp; Qualifications:

Other key responsibilities include:</div><ul><li>
Conducting extensive new client research to identify related entities and relationships with firm lawyers by interrogating data from internal systems and external search databases, as well as internet searches and other sources where needed, in order to make a sound assessment of which parties to include</li><li>
Managing ad-hoc credit questions, report queries, and general proliferation and origination credit requests according to the firm&rsquo;s credit policies</li><li>
Preparing client and attorney lists for partner Parallel O credit submissions by investigating client financial history and lawyer statuses to determine and justify relevance</li><li>
Utilizing knowledge of partner Brown Book metrics to advise on credit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</li><li>
Supporting Client Credit Council Parallel O submissions and approvals, ensuring applications are accurately completed and approvals are handled appropriately according to the credit setup required</li><li>
Supporting Credit Manager with Lateral partner onboarding and following up to ensure their portable clients are set up appropriately</li><li>
Supporting Credit Manager and providing Credit training and coaching to Attorney Support Assistant population firmwide</li><li>
Representing Credit in meetings with other teams and providing updates or answering questions</li><li>
Managing portfolio of offices to make sure all partner credit needs are met with a structured proactive approach to balance an otherwise fluctuating workload throughout the year</li><li>
Developing deeper understanding of peripheral team processes that impact Credit to better collaborate and capture efficiencies, for example, Conflicts, New Business Intake, Billing, FIC, etc.</li><li>
Working with Credit Manager to develop procedures, processes, and workflow to constantly increase efficiency in the Credit team.
</li><li>Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham &amp; Watkins retains</li></ul><p><br>

A bachelor's degree or equivalent
</li><li>A minimum of five (5) years of related research and analytical experience in a professional services firm, preferably</li></ul>

About the Role:

Reporting into the Director of Administration - Middle East &amp; North Africa, the OGC Analyst &ndash; Compliance (Middle East) is an integral part of Latham&rsquo;s Office of the General Counsel team. This role will be responsible for supporting the firm&rsquo;s regulatory compliance and risk management programs, including the firm&rsquo;s Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Engagement Letters, and Ethics Walls programs. This role will be located in Latham&rsquo;s Regional Headquarters in Riyadh.

Supporting Compliance Team lawyers and managers in their roles, managing the Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Client (KYC) document collection for one or more assigned offices, and analyzing the firm&rsquo;s compliance programs</li><li>
Responding to questions from lawyers and support team members in multiple offices across the firm regarding KYC document requirements and status of KYC document collection, engagement letters, and ethics walls</li><li>
