As a dedicated Mathematics Tutor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional academic tutoring and AP test preparation to high school and college students. Your expertise in Calculus AB, BC, and 3/4 will empower students to grasp complex concepts and excel in their coursework and AP exams.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions on Mathematics.</li><li>Tailor study plans to address students' individual academic needs and learning styles.</li><li>Assist students in preparing for AP exams, covering essential topics and exam-specific strategies.</li><li>Teach fundamental Mathematics concepts and problem-solving techniques.</li><li>Utilize interactive teaching methods and resources to enhance students' comprehension.</li><li>Administer practice tests and mock exams to evaluate students' progress.</li><li>Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students in their academic pursuits.</li><li>Collaborate with parents or guardians, offering progress reports and addressing any concerns.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest Mathematics curriculum changes and educational trends.</li></ul>APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONSAll applicants should meet the following requirements:<ul><li>Bachelors degree &ndash; complete and not in progress.</li><li>Must have earned a grade of A- or higher in the subject(s) to be tutored.</li><li>Minimum GPA of 3.5 from university or college.</li><li>Exceptional understanding and enthusiasm for the subject content.</li><li>Available to work 3 or more afternoons and/or evening shifts for approximately 9-20 hrs/wk.</li><li>Responsible, dependable, honest, and mature.</li><li>Effective interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diverse range of students.</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you have a passion for helping students succeed and possess the expertise to provide comprehensive support, we invite you to apply for this rewarding tutoring position at Launch Valley Tutoring.Email your resume to launch@launchvalleytutoring.com and be sure to mention the role that you are applying for in either the subject line or body of your email.Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hourWork Location: Hybrid remote in Northridge, CA 91324
