Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our dedicated law firm.The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess strong attention to detail.Duties<ul><li>Prepare, review, and manage legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.</li><li>Assist lead attorney with case management by organizing files, maintaining case calendars, and tracking deadlines to ensure timely submissions.</li><li>Perform proofreading to guarantee accuracy</li><li>Prepare dictated emails and correspondence</li><li>Drafting correspondence and legal forms</li><li>Preparing and formatting legal documents</li><li>Checking case citations</li><li>Familiar with how to file in state and federal courts, using OneLegal</li><li>Familiar with local rules</li><li>Manage data entry tasks related to case files and court filings while ensuring meticulous record-keeping.</li><li>Gathering documents for answering discovery</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to firm policies on document handling and data security.</li><li>Good with Microsoft word and Excel</li><li>Work with lead attorney primarily on Zoom</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Paralegal experience or legal administrative experience supporting multiple practice areas is preferred.</li><li>Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent proofreading and writing skills are necessary for success.</li><li>Experience handling clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription, and maintaining legal files is expected.</li><li>Join us if you&rsquo;re ready to contribute your skills in a vibrant legal setting that values professionalism and continuous growth!</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
