Sheehan, LLC is a paperless plaintiff-side firm focused on Massachusetts Workers&rsquo; Compensation and motor vehicle personal injury (pre-litigation), with a strong presence in the Latino community. We&rsquo;re hiring an Associate Attorney who can manage a caseload, communicate confidently with clients, and move files efficiently toward resolution.In-Person at our Wakefield, MA office during onboarding. Hybrid (3 days in-person/2 days remote) may be available after 60-90 days based on performance and business needs.What you&rsquo;ll do<ul><li>Manage a caseload of MA Workers&rsquo; Comp and MVA PI pre-litigation matters from intake through settlement (and handoff to litigation when needed)</li><li>Client communication: updates, counseling, expectation-setting, and responsiveness</li><li>Evaluate liability/damages, request/track records, analyze medicals, and build demand packages</li><li>Negotiate with adjusters; identify case value and settlement strategy</li><li>Draft routine documents and correspondence; maintain strong file notes and task follow-up</li><li>Appear as needed for DIA Virtual Conciliations, Conferences and Lump Sum Settlement Conferences (and occasional court appearances)</li><li>Collaborate with and supervise support staff on file work and deadlines</li></ul>Requirements (must-have)<ul><li>Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar (active, in good standing)</li><li>Able to work independently and manage deadlines/caseload</li><li>Strong writing and communication skills</li><li>Comfortable in a paperless environment: scanning, PDF assembly/editing, e-sign workflows, and detailed CRM notes</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat</li><li>1&ndash;3 years in MA Workers&rsquo; Comp and/or MA MVA PI (will consider experience as law clerk, paralegal/legal assistant or insurance claims adjuster)</li></ul>Preferred (nice-to-have)<ul><li>Spanish fluency (not required, but a big plus)</li></ul>Compensation &amp; benefits<ul><li>$85,000&ndash;$125,000 depending on experience</li><li>Performance bonus</li><li>Referral fee program for cases you generate</li><li>401(k) + employer match</li><li>Health/Dental</li><li>PTO</li><li>Professional Development</li><li>Friendly, supportive team culture and strong work-life balance</li></ul>How to apply (confidential)Email resume + brief cover letter and (optional) 1&ndash;2 writing samples (redacted) in confidence.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Referral program</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Are you an attorney in good standing licensed to practice in MA?</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wakefield, MA 01880
