Bilingual (Spanish/English) legal assistant/receptionist/case intake specialist needed for two-attorney criminal defense firm located in downtown San Diego. Prior admin/legal assistant work in the legal field is preferred, but it is not mandatory. You must have a friendly disposition and be able to treat all clients with kindness and respect. Both attorneys are easy to deal with.Duties include answering the phone, calling prosecutors' offices to check on cases, doing retainer agreements, fielding calls from potential new clients, writing and sending out correspondence, and generally managing the office. The weekly schedule is 8am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm Monday through Friday. (Weekend work is never required.) A one-hour unpaid lunch time is offered.Applicants must be proficient in Word and Adobe Acrobat.
