If you are looking to grow &amp; expand your professional litigation experience, come join our team.The Role:We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal with minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm. Ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively while managing a large caseload. You enjoy collaborating as a team, are level-headed and calm under pressure and have a sense of pride in your work product.You will be reporting to one attorney and responsible for:<ul><li>Case Management: Work with attorney and team from case inception through post-trial and appeal, maintaining case files and calendars.</li><li>E-Filing Expertise: Knowledge of state and federal e-filing rules, procedures, and local court rules.</li><li>Discovery Process: Support discovery tasks, including document review and production, drafting and responding to discovery requests, scheduling and assisting with deposition preparations.</li><li>Law &amp; Motion Practice: Draft and assemble motion papers, file pleadings and briefs, and ensure proper service. Analyze motions received from Plaintiff's counsel and research in support of response.</li><li>Trial Support: Prepare pre-trial motions, exhibits, witness lists and other activities in advance of trial.</li><li>Proofreading &amp; Formatting: Proofread briefs and pleadings, prepare tables of contents and authorities, and perform cite-checking.</li><li>Appeals: Prepare and file notices of appeal, designation of records, and appendices.</li><li>Administrative Support: Handle administrative duties during lighter paralegal workloads.</li></ul>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>A motivated professional with proven experience in litigation support.</li><li>Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time-management skills.</li><li>Collaborative and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li><li>You will be part of a team and working with others amicably comes as second nature.</li><li>Experience in litigation on the defense side is a plus</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum 2 years litigation experience in California, with working knowledge of Calif Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), Calif. Rules of Court (CRC), as well as local court rules, and procedures for Northern California counties. Federal knowledge is a plus.</li><li>Hands-on experience with civil litigation discovery and trial preparation</li><li>Experience evaluating and assessing cases; whether from insurance defense or other litigation perspective</li><li>Detailed knowledge of MS Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat</li><li>Case management software experience</li><li>Familiarity with basic legal software such as LexisNexis and e-filing portals</li><li>Legal calendaring experience</li><li>You have excellent English language skills (both written and verbal)</li><li>Experience with timekeeping</li><li>Paralegal Certificate or equivalent on the job experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant;</li><li>Bachelor's Degree a plus</li><li>You live on the SF Peninsula or nearby and are looking for a full time position.</li></ul>Basics:<ul><li>Hours: Monday - Friday 35 - 40 hours AM schedule</li><li>Potential hybrid work options after training</li><li>Benefits, Vacation, holidays and sick day accrual</li><li>Continuing Education reimbursement</li><li>Comfortable work environment in a beautiful Class A building surrounded by trees with a picnic area for lunch alfresco</li><li>Free ground level parking</li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer: We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected and valued.
