Rapidly growing law firm specializing in plaintiffs personal injury cases, including construction accidents, workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability (slip and fall) is seeking experienced, detail-oriented paralegal with exceptional work ethic and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Our firm has a reputation for impeccable client service, getting to know our clients and advocating zealously on their behalf.As a paralegal, you play a vital role in supporting attorneys in all aspects of personal injury litigation. Your responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Drafting and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and briefs.</li><li>Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.</li><li>Request and review of medical records, conducting analysis and summarizing for case files.</li><li>Assisting with witness preparation, including conducting interviews and preparing witnesses for depositions and trials.</li><li>Managing a large caseload under the direction of attorneys.</li><li>Maintaining regular communication with clients, providing updates on case developments and guiding them through the legal process.</li><li>Collaborating closely with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to case deadlines.</li><li>Assisting with trial preparation to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.</li><li>Utilizing legal software such as NYSCEF and MyCase for case management and document organization.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.</li><li>3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in plaintiffs personal injury law required.</li><li>Fluency in Spanish is required.</li><li>Proficiency in conducting legal research using resources such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li><li>Familiarity with New York State Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and NYSCEF.</li><li>Labor Law experience a plus.</li></ul>BENEFITS<ul><li>Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education.</li><li>Dynamic and supportive work environment with experienced trial attorneys.</li></ul>This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the legal field while playing a crucial role in our firm's success and client satisfaction.
