Job Title: Senior Accountant &ndash; Ernakulam / Kochi / WFHLocation: Ernakulam - Work at home Department: Finance &amp; Accounting Reports To: Finance Manager / Financial Controller/ CEOJob Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with Knowledgeable in Gulf tax regulations (VAT &amp; Corporate Tax) to join our remote finance team. This is a work-from-home role ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance in the GCC region. You will play a key role in managing daily accounting functions while ensuring full compliance with local tax laws.Key Responsibilities: Accounting &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger entries.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.</li><li>Conduct variance analysis and ensure accuracy in reporting.</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.</li></ul>Gulf Tax Compliance<ul><li>Prepare and file VAT returns in line with regulations in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, or other GCC countries.</li><li>Assist with Corporate Tax return preparation and ensure timely compliance under new GCC tax regimes.</li><li>Stay updated with changes in local tax legislation and apply them to accounting processes.</li><li>Coordinate with external tax consultants and regulatory authorities as needed.</li></ul>Audit &amp; Controls<ul><li>Maintain organized records for audit and tax purposes.</li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.</li></ul>Team Collaboration<ul><li>Communicate effectively with team members, management, and third-party consultants via online platforms.</li><li>Assist junior accountants or freelancers as needed.</li><li>Participate in virtual meetings, training, and finance-related projects.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is a plus</li><li>4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the Gulf region</li><li>Sufficient knowledge of VAT and Corporate Tax regulations in UAE / KSA / GCC</li><li>Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks Online, or ERP systems like SAP/Oracle)</li><li>Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial models)</li><li>Self-motivated and able to manage workload independently in a remote environment</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Reliable internet connection and ability to work full-time remotely</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Remote / Work from Home</li><li>Flexible hours (with occasional overlap with Gulf business hours)</li><li>Digital tools: Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace / Microsoft 365, and cloud accounting platforms</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;12,801.57 - &#8377;38,928.27 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
