<b>Your Everyday</b></p></div><div><p>
Prepare your patient for surgery, review patient history, and provide patient care and support including supplies needed, medicine administration, patient positioning, vital signs monitoring, and health assessments.</p></div><div><p>
Perform required clinical documentation and post-operative assessments.</p></div><div><p>
Monitor your patient after surgery for pain and/or complications and the surgery site for healing or infection following Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.</p></div><div><p>
Performs CPR or other emergency measures if required.</p></div><div><p>
Collaborate to identify and meet the overall needs of patient care or when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.</p></div><div><p>
Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.</p></div><div><p>
Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient.</p></div><div><p>
Initiate patient and family education on the operation and post-operation care as required.</p></div><div><p><b>
The Must-Haves</b><br>

Participate in the daily operations of your department under the supervision of a nurse manager/director.</p></div><div><p>
Maintain knowledge of and act as a resource for clinical practices and departmental operations.</p></div><div><p>
Audit, report, and educate your team about meeting professional and JCAHO requirements for nursing documentation.</p></div><div><p>
Prepare, monitor, and modify staff schedules with the approval of the appropriate manager/director and according to department needs and appropriate skill mix.</p></div><div><p>
Conduct new employee orientation, develop materials, assign preceptors, and conduct assessments as needed.</p></div><div><p>
Provide input for performance evaluations and handle personnel matters as delegated by department manager/director.</p></div><div><p>
Work in collaboration with the leader(s) in interviewing and selecting candidates for open positions.</p></div><div><p>
Attend recruitment events and represent the department when requested.</p></div><div><p>
Maintain standards of team accountability for hospital policies and procedures and delivery of care services.</p></div><div><p>
Inspect department and conduct patient, safety and environmental rounds.</p></div><div><p>
Participate in and monitor compliance of core measure initiatives and quality standards.</p></div></div><div><div><p><b>
