The Vascular Xray Technologist Coordinator in the cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab at LCMC Health is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow and coordination of procedures within the lab. This role ensures efficient patient flow, timely case turnovers, and effective communication among the Cath Lab team, physicians, and other hospital departments. The Vascular XRay Technologist Coordinator plays a pivotal role in maintaining an organized, safe, and high-functioning environment to support exceptional patient care.

Miscellaneous functions and responsibilities:</li><li>

Ensures that the Director is informed of any situation that may produce staff, patient or physician complaint prior to the complaint being received, and ensures that the Director has all the facts and circumstances on any issue that may result in a complaint.</li><li>
Notifies Lead Tech of his/her presence within (7) minutes upon arriving in the department.</li></ul>
Experience Qualifications: 1 year of experience in X-ray or Cath Lab, or radiology special procedures training (or any critical care nursing unit if licensed as a Registered Nurse)
Education Qualifications: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent
License and Certifications: Radiologic Technologist license by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. (LSRT)
Cardio/Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R)(VI)(CV) American Heart Association, BLS OR licensure as a Registered Nurse and one year of critical care experience may substitute for ARRT and LSRT certifications

The pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. 
GENERAL DUTIES
Interprets medication orders and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately. Reviews drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness of orders for patients. Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret age specific data. Contacts physician and clarifies medication orders and documents interventions appropriately.
Provides clinical consultation, drug information and clarification to practitioners, nursing staff, patients and family. Sustains hospital formulary minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchange protocols and suggesting appropriate cost effective and therapeutic equivalent alternatives. Maintains knowledge of Louisiana and Federal pharmacy laws and DEA regulations.
Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel. Verifies the Pharmacy Technician&rsquo;s appropriate dispensing of medications and preparation of non-sterile compounding as required by law/policies. Oversees operation of the Pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Supervisor as necessary. Works independently with minimal supervision; organizes and prioritizes work assignments and ensures Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner.
Accurately dispenses medications and prepares sterile admixtures, including sterile products, chemotherapy and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). Maintains records for controlled substances as required by law and pharmacy policies.
