</ul>Your Role as an Afterschool Teacher 
As an Afterschool Teacher, you&rsquo;ll help lead a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for school-age children during out-of-school hours. You&rsquo;ll support the planning and facilitation of hands-on activities, games, and group projects that promote creativity, teamwork, and social development. You&rsquo;ll also help manage daily routines, build positive relationships, and ensure every child feels welcomed and supported. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Support daily program routines including creative activities, homework assistance, snack, and outdoor play
</li><li>Assist with planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities based on children&rsquo;s interests and developmental needs</li>
<li>Supervise and actively participate with children during activities, games, and free play</li>
<li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized program environment aligned with state licensing regulations
</li><li>Foster independence, teamwork, and positive peer interactions using positive guidance strategies
</li><li>Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a welcoming, enriching afterschool environment</li>
</ul>Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Previous experience working with children in afterschool programs, summer camps, child care, recreation, or youth development (preferred)</li>
<li>Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
</li><li>Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
</li><li>Ability to multitask, follow program structure, and adapt to children&rsquo;s needs</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>
<li>Coursework or credentials in education, child development, or related field (preferred but not required)</li>
