 Position Summary:
 
 
 
 
 As a Respiratory Therapist at LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our residents. Working in collaboration with our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess, treat, and monitor respiratory conditions to ensure the well-being of our residents. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality of care we provide, promoting a comfortable and healing environment.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assess and evaluate residents with respiratory conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication, and ventilator management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation settings as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Educate residents and their families on respiratory care techniques and self-management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Document and maintain accurate records of respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and coordinate resident care.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Current Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
 </li>
 <li>
 Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
 </li>
 <li>
 BLS and ACLS certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
 </li>
