POSITION SUMMARY</b></p>
<p>
The primary function of this position is to develop and implement sourcing strategies and programs meant to identify, evaluate, and maintain a vendor network.</p><br>
<p>
</p><p><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage a portfolio of mechanical suppliers specialized in machining, sheet metal work, mechanical components, or plastic processing
</li></ul><ul><li>Drive execution of mechanical commodity strategies in a collaborative and multi-site matrix environment to achieve both tactical and strategic goals</li>
</ul><ul><li>Apply knowledge of commodity market trends and serve as an expert in influencing sourcing strategies and product development (design-to-cost), and in leading cost decrease plans</li>
<li>Carry out the purchasing processes necessary to provide the proper goods and services, as required by operations and by the projects (NPI)</li>
<li>Define the master vendors list for biddings in compliance with mechanical commodity &amp; company strategies</li>
<li>Lead RFQ/RFP and contract negotiations with suppliers to fit cost, quality and lead-time targets
</li><li>Lead procurement efforts for New Product Development requirements / prototypes</li>
<li>Ensure Supply Chain qualification before serial production phase (quality, supplier capacity)</li>
<li>Develop and manage effective relationship with suppliers
</li><li>Ensure periodic supplier assessment (risks and QCD performance) on your perimeter</li>
<li>Lead the yearly (or half-yearly) business review with the strategic partners</li>
<li>Manage data integrity in the ERP (SAP) to procure purchased parts
</li><li>Ensure purchasing practices comply with established laws, policies, and compliance requirements
</li><li>Identify, propose and implement all methodologies, standards and guidelines to reinforce the efficiency of sourcing</li>
<li>Manage data reporting for regular and reliable feedbacks to manager</li>
</ul>

<p></p><p><b>PROFILE</b></p>
<p>
Experience and Education:
</p><ul><li>In-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles.
</li></ul><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
</li><li>Ability to read mechanical drawings, technical knowledge</li>
</ul><ul><li>Ability to perform complex tasks some latitude for determining appropriate processes to follow.
</li></ul><ul><li>Highly organized self-starter, pro-active, good team player, flexible, results oriented</li>
<li>Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to draw reasonable conclusions, clearly present recommendations on sourcing, and to summarize complex issues
</li><li>Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
</li></ul><ul><li>Able to administer departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
